Who is booing Bryce Harper this week?

Boooo, make sure he wants out of DC, just in case the Nationals are dumb enough to offer Bryce a contract that they will regret. We must save this team from itself.

Let the Nationals offer Bust HYPEr a contract that he might consider accepting, but, with the unstated understanding that Chicago, LA, Philadelphia, Milwaukee or Atlanta will offer him more, so he will go there.

He has proved mediocre, at best, over the last three seasons.

He might want to play for the Yankees, but the Yankees do not need him.

Mighty Mouse and Soto are fine in the outfield. If Kendrick makes it back for 2019, he has proved that he can play Left. Let Difo play Second, Kendrick play Left until they can bring Robles up to speed.

Let Harper go; the Nationals will be fine without him.

Unless the Angels work out an extenSion, Trout will be making $33 million per year with them until he becomes a free agent in 2021. Which will be his Age-30 season.

Had to belly laugh when I read "Harper is a Mormon!"

haha, what a joke...
he's as much a Mormon as Kennedy was a Catholic and Obama is a Muslim, I mean Christian.

He's a lazy, lackluster, over rated baseball (other than a slugger) that loves the attention, thus the crazy hair styles and gay hair flips, but Mormon?...laughable.

He is however, BAD for the chemistry of a winning team.

The baseball powers-that-be will soon enough be coming up will many millions of reasons to disagree with you. Some of those will be related to Harper's quite significant on-field skills (ROY, MVP, etc.), and some will be related to his even more significant 'star-power' abilities to recruit fans, sell tickets and merchandise, and up the value of hometeam TV time and ads. Not sure that there's anyone in the game today who can come even close to matching the value of Harper's all-around package.

None of that means a flying f@%# to a team that is trying to win. Swinging for the fences every at bat may put butts in the seats, but it's not going to help you win.

They have Robles, Soto, and Eaton in the OF. Rendon, Turner, and Ryan are not chopped liver. We need a Type-A guy at C and 2B, plus a lefty starter and one more and some bullpen arms. It’s a tall order, but Rizzo is really good at this.

Harper prolly will be in the Hall of Fame eventually. He can hit the ball but that's it.
If he was such a good fielder he'd be placed in center or left field, not right field.

"STAR" players don't win pennants, they sell tickets and jerseys. Which owners like but fans want playoff wins.

Is there a category in the Hall of Fame for the "Best gay hair flip"?

or "Laziest runner to first base"? or "Player most often doubled up at first base after rounding second after ball caught in the outfield."

Harper has played all three OF positions on a regular basis, but 'baseball wisdom' dictates that your strongest outfield arm be slotted in right field. Harper has a very strong arm.

Of course, there are practical exceptions to every rule. Michael A Taylor actually has the best overall arm (and best range) on the team, but despite his base-stealing abilities and having hit perfectly well when given regular playing time, strikeout totals have kept him from being seen as a consistent enough hitter to earn a starting spot anywhere.

And while lacking a plus-plus arm, Adam Eaton's defensive metrics have traditionally been quite a bit higher in RF than in CF, but he's more than competent anywhere in the OF. When healthy, he's also a dynamic top of the order presence and dangerous base-stealer.

So if Harper leaves and both Eaton and Taylor are still here next Spring, it will be interesting to see how the outfield lines up. Robles and Soto would seem to be givens, but then what?

Nats still have three years of control left with Eaton for less than $30 million total. That's attractive for sure, but it may be more valuable as a trade chip with which to pick up a front-line starter. Michael A can be OF3 (and perhaps an All Star) for us, and we can likely again pick up a Lind/Adams type off the scrap heap to help build up the bench. We'll see how Rizzo decides to play it.

Hmmm.. said that it's "baseball wisdom" that dictates putting your best arm in right field. WHAT? Baseball wisdom? Common sense tells you to put your BEST fielder in center field, plus if that player also had a good arm, center field is the deepest park of virtually every ball park.

Maybe "Humm.." adores Harpers hair flips but Baseball wisdom??? really, just face facts, Harper is not the strongest outfielder.

Hair flips are not part of the game, but baseball wisdom -- something you appear not to know much about -- most definitely is. What it tells most of us is that speed, range, and efficient routes to the ball are factors associated with CF, while arm strength is a factor associated with RF, this in part because of the long and frequently required throws to 3B. This is why you will find Jason Heyward playing in right and Ender Inciarte playing in center.

> really, just face facts, Harper is not the strongest outfielder.

While he has played the other OF positions, he has been best suited for RF given the various Nats rosters over the years. For his career Harper has about 600 games played in RF as against close to 200 games played in each of LF and CF.

Soto, Mighty Mouse start every time. Move them between Center and Right. Kendrick, assuming he's back, has proved he can play Left (2017). Platoon him, Taylor and Robles. Kendrick can also platoon with Wilmer at 2nd. Assuming Kendrick's bat is still every bit as good as it was, he can get a lot of playing time between 2nd and Left.

Rizzo needs to find a couple of pitchers and a catcher plus a bench specialist like Lind was. I always wondered why they didn't renew Lind, but, since he didn't do well in his limited playing time in the minors for 2018, it turned out for the better.

They need to develop an ace pitcher or 2. Scherzer is getting old, even though he's showing few signs of his age. Strasburg seems to be back to his old self, but, he's fragile, always has been and is 30. He won't last much longer. He would make a good six out closer, though. He could extend his career like that.

There have been no credible reports from principals. None at all. That's why you can't point to even a single one. All there has been is pointless speculation from out-of-the-loop retards looking to lure some eyeballs. If you were not such a child, you would have realized this long ago.

The point to make is that you're fall down flat on your face wrong and it's been made many times over. The simple fact is that credible sources involved in the negotiations have revealed the compensation that Harper and his representation are seeking. Credible news outlets have reported as much. I don't have lies, I have reports from a credible news outlets that cites credible sources from within the Nationals organization that Harper is seeking at least a 10-year contract that will likely pay him a minimum of $400 million.

You again have not linked to one thing because you have exactly nothing to work with. You are a big bullshitter who fails to understand that there in fact are no credible reports actually tied to principals. You’re simply too fucking dumb to know what’s what.

I don't link to anything because it isn't my responsibility to cure you of your stupidity and/or laziness. The information is readily available. Well, it's readily available and easily found if you have the intellectual capabilities of a garden slug. It appears you fail to meet that very low threshold.

Come up with a source yet, asshole? Nah, I didn't think so. The fact that there aren't any keeps holding you back. Stupid prick.

It's the same source that I knew about three days ago. Imagine how stupid you'd have to be to not be able to find that same source in three days. Oh wait, you don't have to imagine that, you're living that reality every day. For fuck's sake, I even tried to help you out. One of my posts has a copy/paste from the article and you still can't find it. You truly are one of the stupidest people around.

Quoted or not, there are no credible articles anywhere containing the information you have claimed. You are just a stupid assfuck trying with no prospect of success to cover your I ignorant sorry ass.

Again, I am not to blame because you are too stupid and/or too lazy to find the aforementioned credible articles that cite credible sources to verify the claims I've made.

You'll have to accept your failure and move on. It really is your only viable option remaining.

You only reconfirm your status as an ignorant lying assfuck. No principal has made any note of any terms that Harper will ask for. You put your foot in a giant cow-pie and it’s Been stuck there ever since.

Again, credible reports from credible news outlets cite credible sources from within the Nationals organization that Harper is seeking at least a 10-year contract that will likely pay him a minimum of $400 million.

Those are the facts. You're obviously too lazy and/or too stupid to discern those on your own.
