What I don't get is why this guy doesn't just own this story. He should have stated something like: he had a drinking problem as a kid due to peer pressure, but doesn't anymore, he does not recall if he had done bad things, or hurt Ford, because of his drinking - and that if he had hurt her or anyone else, he was truly sorry. He should have said that this experience as a child has given him the opportunity to reflect on second chances, because he was able to turn it all around, and now has a family and is a changed man...and this second chance has made him a more compassionate, fair judge who believes in second chances for others...who wouldn't vote YES to that?

Kavanaugh can't think on his feet. He's a bully just like Trump. He's clearly incapable of admitting he can make mistakes. His ego clearly gets in the way of common sense, and he has to go and lie about it all (and some of them were terrible lies...I'm surprised he didn't say Ralph was a character on Sesame Street). This is what happens to lies - the snowball effect. He needs to own his stories.

Kavanaugh is now outed as an utter disgrace. But the GOP rarely if ever objects to disgrace, so they may still be able to put this defective on the Supreme Court. It will be up to future Congresses to impeach and remove the slime-ball.

It is also remembered that the Republicans, with Speaker Gingrich's staff, interrupted the Florida vote count, the "Swift Boat" smear campaign, Watergate and the original McCarthyism and more.
