Another genius VA law

The state has prohibited opposite-sex couples from living "openly and notoriously" as if they were married since North Dakota became a state in 1889. Florida, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia have similar laws.

If any persons, not married to each other, lewdly and lasciviously associate and cohabit together, or, whether married or not, be guilty of open and gross lewdness and lasciviousness, each of them shall be guilty of a Class 3 misdemeanor; and upon a repetition of the offense, and conviction thereof, each of them shall be guilty of a Class 1 misdemeanor.

"open and gross lewdness..." Just pull down the shades people.

People have been fired from state gov jobs in VA because they lived with someone they were not married to, not specifically because they were seen being lewd together. The part you refer to applies to married and un married if they are witnessed by being lewd.

park1, while obnoxious, has a good point. When was the last time this was enforced? 1960? We used to lynch people back then, too.

Actually 2001 SMARTASSES.
me love you long time.

http://www.unmarriedamerica.org/Virginia-DavisDayCare.htm

This is also great

Doe v. Duling, 603 F. Supp. 960 (1985), the federal district court ruled that Virginia’s fornication and anti-cohabitation statutes violated the federal Constitution. The only reason that ruling was reversed on appeal was that the plaintiffs in the Doe case lacked standing to challenge the statute because they were not threatened with any imminent harm by it. (Doe v. Duling, 782 F.2d 1202 (1986))

Ok genius,

1. The title of the topic was another genius VA law which applies to Fairfax.

2. You replied to said topic so you: (a. did not read the topic, (b. are not proficient in reading the English language, or (c. thought Fairfax County was not part of Virgina.

3. Our "commonwealths" is actually the Commonwealth of Virginia (ONE commonwealth encompassing the entire state) and apparently they did touch it.

4. I believe your exact response to the "Another genius VA law" topic was:

"BIG FUCKING DEAL!!!!!
Show me a recent case where it was enforced.
Stop trying to stir shit up!!!!!"

Recent case shown (2001).

5. Shut the fuck up your are clearly a dipshit.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really touch a nerve....

If you live within the confines of Fairfax County (which I know is in Virginia), and you cohabit with your fat ass girl, you are in violation of the law. I don't think anyone here is disagreeing with you.
My point is, you would have to be tried in Fairfax County General District Court. The Commonweaths attorneys that work here in FAIRFAX COUNTY, won't touch that law. So that being said, fuck your fat ass girl all you want (whom you live with), and don't worry bout that old school law. It will not be enforced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The people who live in FARIFAX COUNTY and cohabit together are safe...so again, post something (FARIFAX Undergroud) that applies to the cizitens of Fairfax County.

P.S.
FUCK YOU AND YOUR FAT ASS GIRLFRIEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Park1 out......

That's not the point. They shouldn't have a law like that to touch in the first place. A commonwealth's attorney should not have the power to prosecute someone for such a bogus crime.

The point of this thread was to point out the stupid laws on the books in VA, which includes those which are not often enforced. But laws such as this are largely unknown by the public, and they lurk out there to be used against you by any prosecuter with an axe to grind.

And your filthy language and belligerent tone don't strengthen your argument.

If you're going to point out one stupid law, then point them all out. They're tons of old laws that are still on the books. Its just the way things go. I don't think the Commonwealth would bring forward one of these "dumb ass" laws, just for spite and try to "used against you" (as tomahawk wrote). If you really think that, then you have a poor view of our justice system. Granted, its not perfect, but its what we have.
I think mofo is an idiot and needs to understand what the hell he is saying before he posts something.
As for tomahawk...that type of language is used by almost everyone who posts here to try and get their point accross. Get used to it. I'm sure your halo isn't clean.

While not laws, per se....it's funny to read old real estate covenants.

I used to own an old house in Arlington and, among other things, the covenants forbade "keeping a Negro in the main house"....I couldn't sell the place to a Jew, and other assorted tidbits. Totally unenforceable in our modern age...but those documents are a piece of our history, like it or not.

Those same tenets were in William Rehnquist's deed when he bought the house he owned when he died.

If you own any house built before 1948, it might have one of those covenants.

"What you think" doesn't matter. What code a prosecutor can use to make your life miserable does. Best to eliminate stupid laws, so as eliminate the possiblities altogether, and clean up the code in the process.

And yes, as a matter of fact, I do have a poor view of our justice system, for reasons too lengthy to get into in this thread.

Yes, people use that language often, nevertheless I hold that it fails to strengthen your argument when you resort to name-calling and foul language. Curse if you want. It can't offend me, but it makes me more likely to ignore your point. Besides, that language is so common it no longer has any shock value. As for my "halo", my posts speak for themselves.

Shut up!!!!
If you feel soooo strongly about removing these laws, then don't waste your (and our) time complaining about them on Fairfax Underground. I'm sure there is a higher forum to take your arguement to.

Grow up

The Commonwealth of Virginia also used to sterilize "imbeciles" and "idiots".

Fairfax Underground would sure be boring today if they had kept that shit up!

Guess that law could be stretched to get rid of the all the private "Air BnB's", the shared housing tenants, and maybe even the illegal immigrants stashing their newly minted "extended families" together in a 2 bedroom condo.

In law, the most frequently POSTED and then REDACTED laws are the ones inserted religiously

however: it forbade nudist colonies and whore houses

underline the whore house, it was probably a law aimed to prevent the woman from claiming the male to be a co-habitant

i'm %100 certain it had nothing to do with shades

however my parents used to leave the front door wide open whenever i showered (in towel only)

the reason is they are hateful people always trying to get me arrested, and were fully aware and hoping that if anyone walked by the home (ie on a walk) they would see me and have legal complaints filed against me

and there is another lesson in law: some laws are made by assholes and rich people to give them access to attack innocent people for their own joy of hate and for profit of DIS-ENFRANCHISING others success.

it's a resource limited world. in fx co gov the employees in the mid 1990's used to say "if you are lower i am higher"

there are many dumb to the fact - but there are many who take any opportunity to disenfranchise others since they know the wealth can be steered to political favorites

also back then: you had to own up and pay for your kids

a couple fucking around without wealth planning to fund children on church donations (there was no gov aid back then per say)

was simply: highly illegal. look it up. ILLEGAL in usa to willfully have illegitimate children and not be in forced labor to pay.

ILLEGITIMATE:

we told your ass your not making REAL profit for the town. the town is poor and the commissioner is having problems with the kids he already has - let alone the businesses supporting his fat ass. you were told already the town stores were low on supplies

get the fuck out of town, take your large family of illegitimate kids to a town that tolerates free sex and government hand-outs if you can find one - we didnt need you in the first place

today factorization has eased the pain of illegitimate children some

yet there are lingering issues such as: oil is running out in 100 years and that has huge implications that todays polititians are simply fucking their wives with

today's factorization and farming all totally rely on fuel to power endless mistakes and abuses

take away that fuel in 100 years and it's going to be a horrific story today's politicians are just fucking their MANY wives with
