decades of lawsuit attempts on Reagan National airport noise levels

it may be true that increase noise has made the land un-inhabitable

however - aircraft noise has reduced slightly not increased (better bearings), though frequency may have increased (this may be untrue, it is hearsay) since purchase of the (apartments in question)

HOWEVER - the apartments were purchased with FULL DISCLOSURE of airport noise, waiver of, and full discount concerning

-------------------------

if the land is now un-inhabitable due to "increase frequency of overpass" (though the noise that was waiver would be considered un-inhabitable by many to begin with - before purchase)

then the deep discount and waiver of noise would have to be considered in a "re-location plan"

unfortunately the discount was so steep it may be that relocation allotments are not allowable in the DMV area - perhaps in the back woods somewhere - which would cause unimployment

--------------------

the upshot is going forward in the future - the waivers matter. a government bailout that increases the wealth of lawyers and apartment dwellers is not fair to people who paid "normal price" to get property that is clear of noise, and there is perhaps no way out of that (other than leaving ones job and area), but for the occupants to take lesser accomodations - perhaps taking room mates somewhere in DMV.

these lawsuits have gone on for decades - it's doubtful the occupants plan to zone the area as un-inhabitable (commercial) and leave

You move near an airport expect airplanes. Simple as that.

If the homeowners were FALSELY LEAD TO GIVE MONEY TO A LAWYER, not realizing the "suit" had been tried dozens of times over al least a few or several decades, I think they should sue:

(1) the lawyer

(2) WTOP and the Washington Post

those people for continually mis-informing the residents and bilking the for lawyer cash, without informing them that winning is extremely unlikely and that they are aware of this

why is because there is already a STRONG PRECEDENCE

the residents should only accept free lawyers who ask for absolutely nothing unless they win (and dispute the cost to them if the lawyer "wins" how much a share as well)

wtop and the wp have continually played the article of the suit in a light of it being "legitimate", which IS FAKE NEWS, A LIE

wtop has also played all other kinds of fake news, such as that airports and courts can seize cell phones during a search and not give them back (that you would call and ask if they have it, and if they say "NO" then you have no legal recourse), which is: A LIE

wtop has also played news "you can loose ownership of your home on the internet by clicking the wrong button", WHICH IS CERTAINLY CRIME RELATED - THEY ARE SUPPORTING CRIMINAL ACTIVITY ON THAT RADIO STATION (it's not true a disputed button click can lead to loss of a home, and the home owners were suing to that exact point claiming the website itself had been altered and was criminally run)

why aren't airports so noisy as to be intollerable to wait for the plane? is it because planes are too low, or the airport terminal so large?

Because the serious noise, the kind that makes your walls, windows.
and the china in the cabinet rattle, the kind that you can't hear
the television or have a conversation over, only happens when the
planes fly low RIGHT FUCKING DIRECTLY OVER YOUR HOUSE.

Being inside the airport terminal is like being several blocks
away from where the airplane is flying. Huge difference.
Also consider that the terminal, even at that distance,
is heavily soundproofed against airplanes.

Go do Gravelley Park to get an experience a little closer
o what they are complaining about.

I think what's changed in recent years is that with "NextGen",
the GPS-based more flexible way of routing airplanes,
is that there are newer and more approach paths to the airport.
No idea if the people complaining now are just the most recent
batch of complainers on the well-established approach paths.

All that said, anyone who moves into the area around an airport
and then complains about it is a moron and an asshole.

It can meet the same problems in all the countries. In my experience, I can say that the best option is to find a good company to transfer you to the hotel because all car rental companies have the worst cars which can break on the road. The transfer that I remembered was in Majorca with 89transfers.com. The only company which offers a lot of attention to me and they were very attentive on the road and moreover they showed me half of the town without extra money. The best option which I have ever chosen.
