I didn’t walk away from the Democrat Party. They walked away from me. I’m solidly independent right now. The Democrats and the party of Trump are both shit. Neither is likely to get my vote for some time.

The GOP are all just Trumped-out lying assholes these days. Nobody else stinks anywhere near that badly. Nobody else competes with the GOP at all in terms of total and depraved failure.

Lying Hillary and her husband are just as bad. You don't seriously believe all the money those two criminals raked in through speeches and donations was coincidence do you? Bottom line : both parties suck and we need another alternative. No one in either party right now is worthy of a vote.

Yeah, but Trump doesn't want to genocide white America, so, you know, when my choice is between my own genocide and Trump, it's not really a choice at all.

Are you sure those kids are yours Dregs? If what you say about them is true (which I doubt) doesn't sound like they came from your seed

I grew up in a household of conservative Republicans and might have ended up one myself. Then as I met other conservative Republicans I discovered how hypocritical and how self serving they were. Democrats today are getting almost as bad. If there was a viable alternative I might jump to that today. Unfortunately the alternatives to Democrat and Republican today comes down to a party even further left than the Democrats and a party that is just as conservative as Republicans, only a little more honest about it.

I did too - not officially. And I voted for HRC.

The Dems abandoned the working "man," emphasized identity politics over family values/working people.... and blamed the white man for all the evils in the country (yes -- white men and their families listened = welcome Donald Trump -- and the Dems are still wondering why. Stupid.)

Dems have engaged in outrageous racial and gender baiting politics, anti free speech, and blame Republicans. Hypocrites -- and if they don;t see it, ythey will lose again.

Obama had the capacity to do great things but he embraced thuggery over police enforcement, abandoned the very people who risk their lives to keep us safe. (Well, now police are backing off -- so all the anti police has resulted in Baltimore and Chicago murder rises -- you asked for it.) Forget applying for a federal job if you're a white man. You will NOT be hired. WHite men are the enemy.

I am definitely not a Republican, but for the very first time I'm willing to vote Republican.

Sad but true. Democratic Party does not want me, an old white guy. I too have heard the message: no whiteys (men) wanted. I don't feel guilty that my father, and father's father, worked like slobs, coming over to the USA as immigrants, not one prejudice bone in their bodies (they were discriminated in Europe and here in USA as Italians).

I feel like neither Party represents me. I've been lucky, and have made money after hard work and investing in education, no one gave me a pass (though the Democrats would call it privileged to have worked 18 hours a day to pay for college -- when, working in financial aid at my college, I saw much less deserving students get "scholarships" because they were a certain race or gender ALL THE TIME.) All White Men are NOT billionaires like Democrats would want you to believe.

My father would also be very upset the way Democrats have ignored the pains of the working class (of all races), and blamed him and me for white privilege. Is there unconscious bias? Yes, we're ALL human. Is there conscious bias against white (men), that's completely accepted by media/people, yes. I agree, that's why people voted against Sen. Clinton (and we ended up with our current position.) And Blue Lives Matter.

How did you feel about Trump giving massive tax cuts to wealthy people and corporations while giving you either nothing or next to it? How did you like his colossal blunders with China, Russia, and North Korea, or these job-killing tariff ideas of his? How about the 4,500 lies he's told so far? Do you just enjoy being played for a fool?

I feel GREAT that Trump has decreased unemployment substantially for everyone, the stock market has surged, renegotiated poor trade and multilateral treaties with "huge" (i.e., billions) savings (EU, Canada, NATO, China), fighting to protect our country from illegal immigrants (whom admittedly are more of an economic due to welfare fraud than physical threat, generally -- though people who are willing to break immigration laws are willing to commit other crimes): if that makes me a fool, I'm a fool.

If you think the Dems are not protecting Wall Street, you are the FOOL -- ask Democrats who are Goldman Sachs peeps, like:

All of your Econ claims are either false or the product of what Obama did. Trump tries to take credit but doesn’t deserve any at all.

Goldman Sachs has for decades recruited top talent and paid them well enough that they could eventually afford to take a few years off and work for public sector wages. Win-win.

Somehow I feel your description would be different if it were the opposite party.

Keep crying through 2024, buddy.

The Democratic Party has been usurped by special interests, identity politics, big money -- just ask Bernie. Trump was elected because The Democrats were hijacked by crazy left wingers who play the blame game then turned around to accuse anyone who disagrees with them as a racist or sexist when the Dems are largely anti white male, who were (and are) scapegoated for all the evils in the world. Even Alan Dershowitz says so Dems do not respect free speech.

Telling white coal miners or Iowa farmers or Detroit factory workers that they have white privilege is insulting to working men and their families. This anti white male campaign has backfired in a big way. And many Dems STILL don't get it. Sad.

Former Democrat (now Independent)

Are ya daft, man? Goldman Sachs has funded and staffed the administrations of both parties. They make possible the involvement in government of some of the top flight econ and financial minds in the country. Plainly, you are not among those or aware of any of this.

Too fucking bad for them. In fact of course, white privilege is a prime and undeniable factor is the on-going economic and political exploitation of non-whites. This is one of the few factors needed to explain the corrupt distribution of income and wealth in this country. Wake the fuck up, goober!

Look,
Both parties are corrupt as shit and owned by big interest donors.

So it is choose the lesser evil. I choose the party that is not so politically correct, I choose the party that doesn't really want open borders, I choose the party that actually loves this country.

The strategy of the left in large now is a losing one. Like NY governor saying the country was never great to begin with, lol.

Whoa, whoa, Bro, slow down on the micro aggression, will ya?

Everyone has bias. We're human. You're reaction to not caring about white people is racist. Most whites too are exploited economically and otherwise. Stop treating all white people as if their fathers are CEOs or billionaires - keep it up: you're driving more people to become Republicans.

White privilege was invented by blacks to justify a lack of achievement, drive by shootings, and to strengthen affirmative action that has been grossly abused by governments, universities, and organizations who had been buckling under racial (and gender) baiting tactics. The gig is up. For example, Asians are suing Harvard University for discrimination, and it's getting traction. It was ok to discriminate against whites, but now Asians are saying - wait a minute (so it's ok? yup) - it's not right to reward underachieving people at the end of the journey when they didn't put the work in. Sorry if this makes you angry. Open a book, Goober.
