Are Trump tarrifs pushing global collapse?

Steel and aluminum tarrifs are crushing Turkey and potentially sending the global economy into a major fail-spin. This is what happens when you let children play with matches.

Think crowd mentality and systemic risk. Argentina is already panicky, South Africa is not far behind. None of this needed to happen.

Yeah, America isn't first anymore. More people now see both China and Germany as more significant players than the US on the world stage. We are now third. And perhaps in danger of falling further.

Trump couldn’t maintain his own businesses much less American interests. And yet, there are American idiots who believe his bullshit. We live on a planet where everything affects everything else. When the inhabitants starve or not prosper, we go to war. Nobody wins.

And blaming everything on Trump is the left wing specialty. Turkey is failing because of Trump, not all the foreign debt it's been accumulating.

The Constitution doesn't allow the president to set tariffs.

Congress SETS TARIFFS. Trump signs or doesn't sign, he has the power of veto.

Did Trump write the bills and have the vice president introduce them on the floor? Somewhat doubtful. Even so, it would come back nothing as he introduced.

all countries have been doing it, accusing USA of doing it is a pure lie

also countries like china have been seriously fucking USA over. they make auto parts USA buys but refuse to buy usa cars. they drive asian cars

it's not fair trade, not at all. they made deals with NY,NY and goldman sachs (which has HQ in china btw) to keep USA products off of Walmart shelves.

RECENTLY NY,NY IS PRINTING A LEGAL DISCLAIMER THAT ALL MADE IN USA LABELS IN THEIR STORE DO NOT COMPLY WITH FEDERAL STANDARDS AND MAY NOT BE MADE IN USA

----------------------------

Walmart and NY,NY are the f'ing devil. They caused allot of the problems Trump is trying to wipe up.

Easily there are allot of republicans nervous Trump is a NY,NY plant and will intently steer things even more toward democrat dominance.

however - if Trump would - that is not evident yet - their fears are so far unfounded

Neither EBAY nor Amazon ask their sellers to supply "country of origin", and many chinese retailers are using American flags and labels in advertising (sending a product that says made in china).

It's not just Walmart that's a problem. These megaliths break federal law by selling products which don't bear labeling at the time of purchase AND DO NOT ALLOW CUSTOMERS TO SEARCH BY maker (by country of origin). doubly negative is as mentioned: sellers are not required to even state it, so searching by it is doubly impossible.

EBAY AND AMAZON DO NOT BEAR CONSPICuOUS LABELING OF ORIGIN OF PRODUCT

there are many reasons a consumer should know. choice of loyalty and when it's needed. RETURNS - you can't call china to ask why a product doesnt' work, and many more very practical reasons. it's the law and NY,NY is doing anythign and everything they can to BREAK THE LAW

What a dope! Do you have any fucking clue at all? Any idea why President Asshole has been trying to defend his tariffs as being necessary to protect national security (lololol)? No, you don't have such a clue at all. You're just another typical right-wing moron.

The tariffs are just Trump sowing the seeds of chaos and confusion everywhere he goes. This is not good at all of course, but it is the Putin Plan and Trump is his #1 disciple.

'more people' lol

This mus be why the Us economy is booming and China is falling into recession. Must be why the dollar is up 30% against the Yuan and a 1 year high against the Euro. 'more people' are getting fleeced while anyone who bothers to check can see the US is winning this trade war with China and why Europe backed down and agreed to work to reduce tariffs by this fall.

Yes, it's plain that Trump's tariff policies are in fact causing instability in global trade and financial markets. This does not benefit anyone.

ALL of his money is leveraged in Russian banks. If they called his loans, he'd be bankrupt tomorrow.

We've never had a President who was this openly beholden to a foreign power.

Trump's personal corruption is obvious and has been for decades. The man is nothing more than a petty self-serving grifter and we all know it. He has fiddled with tariffs of late because it makes him feel more like "a man" and less like a reviled and inadequate buffoon. Trump and his clown cabal seem to know nothing of economics at all. There is no other explanation for this sort of deliberately destabilizing behavior that leaves the US worse off than when it was begun.
