Chantilly Plaza Shopping Center

That place has always been pretty crappy. When I was growing up the Staples was an F&M store. The Flower Gallery was there, that Dollar Store was a Total Crafts of course.

But hands down the coolest store ever in that place was The Farmers Market! It is where Stein Mart is today. Who else misses that place? IT WAS open I think only 3 days a week.

Was the place actually cool? or was it only a cool place because I was like 5 years old? I would love to hear memories people have of the Farmers Market.

Oh, that Amish market was awesome! I was saddened when it closed.

Being vague is almost as fun as that other thing.

Back when I lived in Brookleigh, that center had a really, really good Chinese restaurant. Is it still there?

I remember that place. It was great. We would get a fresh turkey from them every year. Plus the Amish girls were really hot!!

The place should be razed, cordoned off, and become a holding ground for Haitian refugees.

You mean Pennsylvania Dutch Market? A friend of mine talked me into working there with her in middle school. It was kind of crazy - like nothing I had ever experienced in tilly or VA before LOL. They did not use power in the store, only generators, so in the middle of summer with all of the fans going, the generator would go off and all of the amish guys would rush to get it turned back on. They didnt use cash registers either, so we were basically paid under the table every day. The Amish would drive in from PA every day by the van load, and the girls and guys our age barely talked to us, it was like we were foreign to them.

They made some killer pretzels though,I definitely miss those. Crazy how SteinMart is there now, and the little section with the chinese rest. and chantilly donuts is gone.
