Get used to this for the next four years. They put up those jersey barriers and the water has nowhere to go. Will be interesting in the winter.

The jersey barriers have two slots at the bottom of each to allow for drainage. If water is backed up on the roadway, it's because the drain beyond the barrier is blocked. Around here that's usually because an illegal or nigress has decided to clean out their car at an intersection or on the highway and all their shit is clogging the drain.

Meanwhile I drove out 66 from DC to outside the Beltway in heavy rain last night around 9:00. There was some significant puddling in the far right lane but as traffic was not heavy, there were no problems.
