First gig as the #1 guy, but he was a highly thought of #2 for the Rays and Cubs for years before he came here. Probably speaks better Spanish than most of you doozies too.

I would fire Rizzo and the hitting coach first. We cant hit the ball. Need more patience at the plate. Take your walks like Jayson Werth used to do. Make the pitcher earn every pitch. We keep striking out and swinging at the first pitch into a double play or pop fly. I wouldn't blame Dave Martinez I blame the hitting coach and our non hitting players.

Soto does that and look at him. That guy is gonna' be a real thorn in the side of opposing pitchers. He's REAL TROUBLE. What the FUCK was he doing playing A Ball? They should designate some of those bums, like Bust Hype-er, for assignment and bring up some more of their A-Ball guys, if Soto is any indication.

they did it real shitty, too. They waited until he left for California and sent him an email to say they weren't renewing his contract. Low class-No Class. When you got a guy like that who made your team at least respectable, you look him in the eye and tell him he's fired, you don't wimp out. But then, look at who owns the Nats. The Lerner family is nothing but ladies' underwear salesmen, anyhow.
Dusty got canned because he started bringing up all the colored kids that weren't any better than the beaners or the white kids. He was on the "help a nigga out" bandwagon and it was getting outta hand. Then he wanted a raise and that was the end of it.

Consider he put a foot in Mikey's ass and told him take some coaching or get designated for assignment. Ol' Mikey went from a one-something hitter to mediocre overnight. Dusty told him straight up, he had guys who could play center just as good as Mikey but who could actually hit the ball, so unless Mikey quit being a black Danny Espinosa, he couldn't help him.

You and the poster above you are fucking idiots. I’ll bet your wives worship the BBC.
Martinez is not wholly to blame, but he's made big mistakes with the pitching staff, as far as when to keep guys in and when to pull them.
The hitting, now that's not on Martinez.
His post game interviews are poor. He makes Dusty look smart.

Is Dusty still available? He won games and got the NATs to championships.

You people need to move on from Dusty.
Last I heard he was running a dice game in the alley off Minnesota Ave on Thursday nights and twice on Tuesdays.

Sure it does. That's why it's called an average. Over 80 or so games, it starts to paint a pretty clear picture. Right now, Harper is only 11 points north of the Mendoza Line (and 4 points Sounth of Mendoza's career average). Couple that with his dWAR bring in the negative territory, and he doesn't make for a very productive player at this point in his career. Perhaps he's having contract year jitters, but his numbers are plain awful this year.
I realize you fancy yourself som big league aficionado, but you baseball analysis and insights aren't even up to Legion ball levels.
The ump called strike three on you long ago, you're just arguing against a foregone conclusion. You're out!

Believe me, anyone who knows something about baseball does not include you in their company. In fact, in this thread alone, you've demonstrated just how little you know. Your entire baseball IQ consists of "no it doesn't" and "you're wrong." That might work on your T-ball bench, sluggo, but not so much out in the world of thinking people.

Thinking people spend little time in your company. It’s an anti-douche sort of thing.

Wow, look at all that insight into baseball analytics. Oh wait, it's nothing more than T-ball Teddy trolling for attention. Amazing that with all his baseball knowledge, he actually hasn't talked about baseball. Loser.

Damn, you're dense, T-Ball Teddy. You can use analytics in a multitude of ways to analyze numerous aspects of the game. They point to Harper on pace to hit 100 points lower than last year. They tell me he's having a horrendous year in the field. His Fielding Runs Above Average is in the negative double digits this year. They also tell me his Baserunning Runs are the lowest in his career and they're in the negative territory as well. His numbers are down in nearly every statistical category. I realize this is all above your head, so maybe it's best to ask mommy for the Big League Chew and hit the showers.

Who said it was unusual? C'mon, T-Ball Teddy, that's been the point all along. Harper sucks this season. Are you too thick to even pick up on that in my handle? Hint: it references 2018 stats on the back of a baseball card. Take a line drive to the noggin or something?
Let's recap for the intellectually challenged (you):

80 games? Sounds kind of like half a season, an interval over which standard variability is quite large. Some of us
Know that. Others obviously do not.

It's half of his 2018 stats. Haven't we already covered this, T-Ball Teddy? Again, why are you so slow? Sniffing the neatsfoot oil again?
It's about 10% of all MLB games he's played. In those 80 or so games he is way down in nearly every statistical category. Do you still not get this?

That was the point. As evidenced by both my handle "2018 back of the card" and also my statements. For instance, when I asked, "[w]hat's Harper's average this season? I was talking about THIS SEASON. Even the dumbest of dumbfucks could follow that. You fell short. How dumb does that make you?

T-Ball Teddy's back to the "no it doesn't" or "you're wrong" line of arguing. No substance and even less style.
I'm sorry you were too stupid to follow along. There's probably not much that can be done to fix that level of dumb.

T-Ball Teddy's been reduced to using word of the day calendar entries. It must be a feeble attempt to save face. Looks like the insult against his style of debating hit a little to close to home.
Probably because his lack of baseball knowledge has been put on full display here.
You’re still in a playpen, loser. Your half-season bilge is causing little children to stare. Harper is 25 years old. He has an ROY and an MVP. But he’s as subject to variability as anyone else. You could show some variability yourself by posting a coherent reply. But I’m not expecting to see one.

No shit, moron. You're now repeating my points in different words. As has been pointed out numerous times, he sucks THIS YEAR. That's all that I ever said. Nothing you can do can change that fact.
It's been drilled into your head over and over again, but you're still too dumb to accept it.
You are now simply saying the same thing I said 4 days ago. It took you 4 days to get it because you are a colossal dumbass. This little kabuki dance you are going through is not distracting anyone from that fact.
