Montgomery County police said two 16-year-old brothers have been arrested for a gang-related killing in Silver Spring. Police are also searching for a third suspect in the murder.
According to police, Lenin and Bryan Mancias-Callejas have been charged with first- and second-degree murder along with other related charges for the death of 19-year-old Herson Mejia-Alvarez.
The victim was found fatally stabbed in a wooded area in the 8900 block of New Hampshire Avenue on the afternoon of May 23.
An arrest warrant has been issued for a third suspect, 18-year-old Francisco Sosa. Police said they are actively searching for him.
Investigators said all three suspects are members of a gang and the murder was gang-motivated.
The Mancias-Callejas brothers are being held without bond.
