Re: Go Vote Tomorrow for the Worst Republican Candidate, You Can Vote in Either Primary

There is almost never anyone worth voting FOR, but there is almost always someone worth voting AGAINST.
I would be strongly in favor of every ballot having a checkbox at the bottom that reads "None of the Above". Throw them all out, and see if we are not better off.
We shouldn't be held hostage by a system that forces you to choose between two gangs of cannibals eager to eat you.
Voting is a clumsy and ineffective way for a citizen to defend himself from government. There is a better way.
In many areas. the only way to get picked for jury duty is to be registered to vote.
The founding fathers designed the jury to be an integral part of the system of checks and balances. The citizen gets the last word on law.
When you serve on a jury, you will be lied to by the judge. He will sternly give you instructions. He will tell you that you are only allowed to decide whether or not the law as it is written was broken. That is a lie.
When politicians create a bad law, you do NOT have to wait for months or years to elect someone new and change that law. You can serve on a jury and erase that law instantly. You, as a single individual have more power than all the politicians. You have more power than the police. You have more power than the judge and prosecutor.
You have the power, and the duty, to set someone free if they have simply broken what you know to be a bad law. Your one "not guilty" vote on a jury can do that.
Now, you may wonder why you have not heard of this power before. If this is true, why didn't you learn it in school? School is part of government.
Government is greedy for power, and fears an educated citizen. Judges are petty bullies, some of the worst politicians in the system.
If a lawyer tried to stand up and inform a jury of it's power and responsibility to judge the law, that lawyer would have the shit beaten out of him by the bailiff and be hauled to jail, indefinitely.
You see, there is no jury trial in such a case. The judge gets to arbitrarily decide he is in contempt of court. There is no trial. You go straight to jail. This is unconstitutional, and it happens all the time. No one is allowed to speak the truth about jury power in any courtroom.
However, once you are behind closed doors, you are free to educate your fellow jurors about this power. You ARE there to judge, not guilt or innocence, but to first ask: was this a good law in the first place? Is breaking a bad law acceptable in this case?
Your friends an neighbors may be discouraged about voting. They may feel it is hopeless. They are correct.
However, getting on a jury is well worth your time. There, you are in command of government, not the other way around.
