Police Calls?
Posted by: CuriousCatperson ()

Hi, is there a site/way to check why the police were called to a residence in the neighborhood?

4 FFX Cty squads were around from 9AM this morning until just earlier, along with various unmarked Ford Fusions coming and going. A dead person???? I know the guy, (not well), and haven't seen him around for a while. So, I'm nosy, I guess.

Anyone?

Mind your own business, unless you want unmarked Ford Fusions coming around your house in the morning!

Use proper grammar, CuriousCatpersonBatShitOldLady...and be careful, you don't want to end up with Ford Fusion's in your driveway early in the morning.

File a FOIA request and you will be able to obtain an audio recording of the phone call.

Here are your options:

1. Listen to the scanner on the Fairfax scanner site at the time the cops are there.

2. Listen to the scanner on the radio reference site at the time the cops are there.

3. Buy your own scanner and listen to it at the time the cops are there.

4. If the cops were there on a reportable incident then they will put it in their weekly summary that you can read here: http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/police/crime It normally takes a week before it makes it into the report.

5. You can call the local police district office and ask why the cops were dispatched at that time.

As opposed to 9AM this afternoon?

I usually keep a box of krispy kreme donuts frozen for just such an occasion... nuke them a bit and just hold them while you go out an ask the police what is happening. If they say "nothing to see here ma'am" then hand him a donut and he'll talk.

Perfect. Wish I'd thought of that.
