Turo Car Rentals - Renting My Car

Seen commercials on TV, and I am considering renting my Hybrid SUV to pick up a little extra cash. Who has tried the rental process, and are there any unseen issues?

If you have leather seats, the smell of ass might come out. Don't even consider this if you have cloth interior.

Only niggers and liberal fuckups will rent it.

As with real estate, I would avoid renting your vehicle if you have ANY kind of emotional attachment to it. Assume shit will get fucked up. You'll be less disappointed when it happens.

I wonder what your car insurance would do if the car was damaged or stolen.

OP if you are even considering something as stupid as renting out your car to a bunch of random asshats for some spare cash, maybe you should have bought a more inexpensive car to begin with. Just sayin’

They had your permission to use the vehicle. If there's nothing covering owners on the rental agreement then, it's on the owners and the owners' insurance which means the claims won't be paid because in most cases the owners will likely have failed to report that the car is being used as a rental which is a completely different set of risk assessment calculus used by actuaries.

And specifically excluded from coverage under most all personal auto policies.

If you decide to rent your ride, call your insurance carrier BEFORE you do your first rental. It may be a huge mistake to to get involved in this sort of money making plan.

Turo covers the insurance. This expense is passed along to the renter.

I will rent your car, and run it up and down the toll roads around the DMV without a EZ Pass. Then I will move on to the red light and speed cameras in DC

Which branch of the Department of Motor Vehicles has toll roads going around it? That seems unlikely.

If I were you I wouldn`t accept someone to drive my car, especially so often as it happens in renting app. I gave once my car to one of my friends and he scratched it. It wasn`t his fault so I thought that insurance would cover it for sure. I wasn`t worrying at all. But when I contacted my insurance company they said that they signed the agreement with me so they cover the damage to car which I made. I was shocked. You have to read more about it here https://www.cheapautoinsurance.com/article/can-i-rent-car-without-insurance before startng something.

I actually consider it a terrible idea. Letting some random guys or ladies drive you personal car. Man in case you want to get some cash from renting cars you better go and buy a couple of older cars that are pretty cheap and give them for rental. That is pretty stupid to give your personal car for such a thing mate. I also do not really like to take rental cars. I only liked one company, which was called something like narscars. Dude, that was the best experience i ever got from renting a car. I was traveling in the eastern Europe and i had to get a car while i was in Ukraine. They had any kind of cars you like, from the smallest and cheapest to the biggest and most expensive.

Plus as a potential renter what are the advantages to me of going with an operation like Turo over a traditional car rental company? The savings are not all that great.

I always use Enterprise because I get a non-smoking car and if the thing breaks down they bring me another. Enterprise is everywhere, so if I am 100 miles from where I rented it is no problem to get a replacement car.

With Turo you are fucked.

FFS how often do you break down? These are newer cars you're renting... Put over half a million miles on my cars, no break downs.

Turo you get to pick much cooler cars and you don't have to deal with the scum of the earth rental car people.

Have you checked out the cars on Turo. They aren't just 2018 and newer. Well maintained cars today can easily go 10 years, but the operative phrase is well maintained. Since these cars are privately owned and maintained this can't be assumed. Also Turo doesn't have a monopoly on "cool cars".

I'd rather take my chances with the "scum of the earth rental car people" than with the type of person hard enough up for a few bucks that they'd rent out their private vehicle to strangers.

Short of going to exotic car rental company, they kinda do. Unless you consider a 2020 Mustang cool.

Good thing there is a feedback system to avoid anyone who is a problem. Never once had a Turo car owner try to sell my on a insurance policy I did not need, happens every single time I go to get a rental car company. I've never had a Turo car owner open his garage and try to rent me out a different car than the orignal one I paid for, happens all the times with the rental car companies.

There was a guy here last year that rented a car thru Turo. He said the owner filed some bullshit against him for light scratches all over the clear coat that were already there when he rented it. He said it was his worst fucking nightmare...claims for thousands of dollars from a greedy owner that wanted his ride fixed for free.

The niggering goes both ways in the Turo deal.

It's just a fucking rental car. Many companies to rent from, and they are willing to undercut the other other guy.

Tons of internet specials, and you can complete the process without contact of another human being if your are that insecure.

Where are these? All the ones I have been with you still have to take the shuttle to the location and wait in line for sometimes hours depending on how many flights are coming. Vs Turo they just come up to you.

Sure you book it all online but that doesn't mean shit to them. They likely won't even have the car you reserved.

I'm sure it is difficult for you to rent a car when using mother's credit card.

When you have established credit, the rental process is streamlined online, and there is no need to pass the background checks.
