Mysterious Bethesda tunnel house

Apparently some dude was having tunnels dug under his home, there was a fire and someone died.

What was the point of these tunnels?

Hide nasty chemicals? Bodies?

I don’t think this as about drugs. Some details ...

1. The owner of the home who escaped the fire, Daniel Beckwitt, is well-known on the computer hacking/cybersecurity circuit. His Google+ profile contains a picture of what appears to be an underground bunker

2. Askia Khafra, said he and the homeowner, Daniel Beckwitt, got to know each other when Beckwitt made an investment in a company that Khafra wanted to get off the ground. The two struck some kind of deal and Khafra agreed to come to Beckwitt’s house on Danbury Road to help Beckwitt excavate the tunnels and the bunker inside the home.

My guess is this was going to be some sort of data center. Maybe for bitcoin mining or clandestine data storage for criminals, governments etc.

This story just keeps getting weirder every day. Turns out the guy digging the hole who was killed was found naked.

So maybe it was a gimp dungeon?
