Actually this poster is correct. If you go to numerous floors of Gatehouse, that is where FCPS hides failed principals. These idiots either have been alleged to have done some kind of misconduct, or simply couldn't manage a burger shack. Instead of getting fired like the real world, they get promoted, a desk to hide in, and if that's not enough even more money than they made as an administrator.

These bastards need to go. Another thing FCPS should do, is those whom are already past retirement age and working, see you later. There are cases where experience is helpful, but you have hundreds of employees topped out on big salaries, and its time to cut the umbilical cord. This would not only save residents money, but also bring money to younger teachers and professionals who really are busting their ass.

This principal group is a disgrace. Fire them. Or heck give them a little severance package and see you later. Same with retired employees working past retirement. They rarely accomplish anything, and are part of a spoils system that punishes younger teachers and employees.

You read posts like this one from one of our absolute dumbest resident assholes and you wonder how NoVa can actually be one of the most highly educated areas in the country.

Rumor has it, those who can't manage to tie their shoes get appointed to creating the curriculum for students.

For example, the sex ed Curriculum Advisory Committee who can't get their head around what "biological sex" means, so they say it is fuzzy, ambiguous, nobody really knows what it is.

The "Gatehouse" is a facility in Merrifield that houses the FCPS administrative offices. It is part of the Continuity Of Government plan that provides semi-secret facilities for the United States federal governmnet in the event of emergencies (such as nuclear bombing). The above-ground portion of "Gatehouse" is 265,000 square feet of office space, including a cafeteria, and was built as "special construction" in 2010. The COG activities are housed in the classified underground portion of the facility. At level U-4 is access to the railway tunnel system connecting to the Tysons facility (and thence beyond) and Bolling (JBAB). The lowest level is U-5 which contains the emergency medical facility. This is staffed at all times by select physicians and nurses who rotate in from the iNovA Health building across the street.

Internet conspiracy rumors claim that there is a much deeper level,"U-Z", far below the U-5 hospital.
