Victory for Shak in the primaries means victory for a Dem come November. That simple. The 10th District went for Clinton in 2016 and for Northam in 2017. Virginia Democratic delegates were able to win there in 2017. Victory for the GOP in the 10th requires the support of establishment Republicans and moderate independents, two groups that Comstock has won in the past. These are the same groups that Shak has been dumping on in the primary. Come November they will remember.
