Oxycodone

Just had knee surgery and was prescribed Percocet which has oxycodone 5 mg. I took 1 last night and 1 today. It does help with pain but I am scared it is addicting. Anyone ever take it?

Don't take them unless you are in terrible pain. Yes they are addicting so I would flush them down the toilet and stick with just tylonel.

Yes, they are very dangerous. You don't want to take ANY of them. Just one and you'll be hooked and end up on your knees at a truck stop trying to make bank for your next fix.
But do not flush them down the toilet. That's not environmentally friendly and medicines like that end up contaminating drinking water.
Just let me know where you are and I'll come by and get them and make sure that they're properly disposed of.

I can meet you at Dennys in Fairfax at midnight. I am going there for an omelette. I will give you the pills if you come there. I am a white guy who is bald with a dark brown goatee and I am 5'5 and about 140 pounds. I will be wearing a yellow tee shirt and blue jeans.

I've had two surgeries on my shoulder. I was given OxyContin before the surgeries and prescribed Oxycodone for pain relief during my recovery. Never had a problem with it. I never even got it refilled.

Yes, and they are wonderful drugs. I've taken them for a surgery or two but like you, I'm hugely wary of them. Take them for as long as it takes for the really debilitating pain to pass, then switch to something non-addictive. I've still got the majority of my prescription in the cabinet and I've never been tempted to use them recreationally. Sounds like you're of a similar mind so don't worry too much.

They are good for pain. Throw them away or hide them if you have kids. Teenagers are abusing these opiods left and right and it leads to heroin and marijuana.

If you have any hesitations about the addictive properties of opioid based medications, there is a way to neutralize the addicting effects. Simply take the remainder of the prescription and put them in an 8oz smoothie and give it to your child or pet of you have not been able to breed with a female as of yet.
