For the past couple of weeks our house has been getting at least one mouse a day in our pantry. Exterminators have done nothing but point out the obvious...We live in a very clean house too. Only problem is we are the house closest to the only wooded area in our neighborhood. Is there an easier way to stop this infestation? We are going through 2 mouse traps a day.

Not all cats are mousers - in fact, most aren't. If you really want to kill it good, get a terrier breed dog - they will literally kill themselves trying to murder a mouse/rat.

Never knew we had them around the house but the cats keep them out just fine. Our dogs keep the ground hogs and foxes out the yard. My pellet gun keeps squirrels out of trees around my house. Ants still give us a problem in the early summer. Gotta spray around the house twice to keep those little fuckers out. But that works everytime too.

Fuck all those humane traps, the sticky traps are the way to go. When my attic was infested I was catching 5+ per trap.

you will never get rid of any rodent for good. as long as you have food source they will find it... As long as you have entry points into your house, they will find a way in.

Glue/sticky traps definitely work and the reason...Mice will starve. They've been known to break their necks, or rip off their skin to try and escape them if trapped.

Get those white traps that come in pairs. It comes with a tube of bluish glue. I caught 14 in one week. They’re about $5 for the pair. White plastic with claw grips.

Figure out their food and water supply, clean it up and they will be cut off and go elsewhere. Buying traps or cats treats the symptoms...the mice. I have four boa constrictors that have the run of my attic and house, and they sometimes catch mice. A buddy of mine kept a pet rattlesnake for this very purpose, but it bit and nearly killed his dog, so he flushed it (the snake, not the dog), down the toilet. Moral of the sotry - go with a non venemous variety.

exactly. our idiot landlord solved our “rat problem” by patching up a hole in the concrete foundation of the house we were renting. a few days later the kitchen area started to smell bad, like a rotting smell, and it grew worse over the next few weeks. apparently the rats made a nest under the floor somewhere and got trapped in there when he patched the foundation shut. it was disgusting.

WTF is the matter with your cats ? I have four and they bring home mice every day. Normally bits and pieces. Totally disgusting but very effective.

A couple of pet boa constrictors loose in the house should do the job, and you won't have to buy the mice to feed them with!

We had the same problem. We finally got a exterminator (our third one) to put bait boxes around the outside of the house and in the basement and garage and they have worked for over a year now. They eat the poison bait and die in the woods - we haven't had any die in the house.

If you want traps, I recommend the Rat Zapper.. They are boxes that mice run into and get a fatal electric shock. They work well and are easy to empty with having to see the little bastards all stuck to glue to crushed.

close the mouse size hole entries into your home - ie in the garage or siding that let mice in behind the walls. search around your property for openings the non-carpenters left (since a real carpenter would never have left it)
