Two Fairfax County sisters were killed early Monday morning when the car they were riding in struck a concrete jersey barrier, Fairfax County police said.
Victoria Stefan, 25, and Elizabeth Stefan, 22, both of the 5400 block of Ashleigh Road in Fairfax, were pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
Police said Victoria Stefan was driving a 2003 Jaguar south on West Ox Road just before 2:30 a.m. when she attempted to turn onto Route 29 and struck a concrete wall head-on.
The investigation is ongoing, but police said speed may have contributed to the crash.
