As far as the drivers being vetted, I have always had a hard time believing that these "ride share" drivers have the correct auto insurance for the type of service that they are providing.

I really wouldn't want to become liable in a situation where the driver has an at fault accident and the other party comes after me for being a willing participant in the ride share

UBER and Lyft unsure the incident once the drivers own insurance
Limits are reached.

Metro is cheap and effective. But it doesn't go everywhere and never will.

As for Uber drivers, I'd say they are vetted at least as well as the Oval Office.

UBER, thru “James river insurance(?)” has a $2k deductible. So, your own insurance deductible comes into play($1000 or $500), then ANOTHER $2000 deductible threshold must b reached....
Unless your smelly Muhammad doing 12+ hrs/day of UBER, it ain’t worth the risk.

Yes, and your insurance says FU when you have an accident doing a ride share, i.e. a commercial venture, while you carry regular Harry Homeowner-type car insurance.
