Parents never put me in swimming lessons as a child. Can barely float at the moment. Where can I learn and what's the price?

Fairfax County Recreation centers offer swim classes for all ages. I would recommend Oak Marr. https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/recenter/private-lessons

If you don't mind your kids getting diddled, Oak Marr has a good aquatics program.

Despite its name...Kids First Swim School offers classes for adults. Not the cheapest, just the best.

And when you are done with your swim class, you can walk a few doors down to Kilroy's and meet up with Rusty and the AMF Bitches.

Private swim lessons can be arranged through FCPA - go to one of the rec centers and ask them at the front desk for information.

Since Wakefield now Audrey Moore Rec Center opened in May 1979 not a single person has ever drowned in a FCPA pool, And there have been millions of swim visits with 9 indoor pools today across the county. They have a excellent in house lifeguard training program and in service training all the time, A great place to swim or take lessons or take lifeguard training as they offer classes for that too. The Kids First school offers smaller class sizes for the youngsters
