At the corner of Stringfellow and Poplar Tree around 630pm. It's 44 degrees and a dumb fucker in a Mazda Miata WITH THE TOP DOWN. I watch as his wheels start spinning... and he floors it. The car slides sideways and he is stuck blocking about a million cars behind him.

I was at the other side of the intersection laughing my ass off. I feel for the people in traffic behind this clusterfuck party of one.

Any guy that drives a girly little Miata has problems to begin with.

If you gave me a choice between a white Miata and the car below, I'd have to think a little while.

The Miata is the cheapest rear-wheel-drive sports car available. If I see a guy driving one, I assume it's because he enjoys driving and actually knows something about how to drive. Of course, the guy in the OP would be an exception.

What do you people have against it? It's not big? Is a minivan you idea of a manly car? Light cars handle better and are more fun to drive on curvy roads.

The Miata is the VW Cabriolet of it's generation. It's small round shape is very feminine, like one of those little pink round razors they use. The designers did not choose to even raise the rear-end up a bit like with most sportcars. Why is this you ask... Becasue it was designed by women for women.

There is nothing in it's design that is aggressive or gives any sense or power, something that most men, like myself, want in a sportscar.

You say that it is "cheapest rear-wheel-drive sports car available." I guess that is why the men who drive it are mainly old guys who wear baseball hats to cover their bald heads. Their wives have emasculated them so much that they won't shell out a few grand extra for a car with some balls like a 350Z or Boxtster among others. A sportscar purchase should not be made on the cheap. You need to feed you id completely.
