Lots of restaurants advertise it on their menu, instead of just ‘bacon’.
I used to eat it until I found out how it’s made: from pigs! No thank you!

I have never found it to be any tastier than any other random bacon. It is often undercooked for my taste.
It's popular because it's JUST BACON and doesn't cost more, but makes the restaurant seem like they are serving you a Premium Burger or whatever.

If you can't afford bacon, don't eat it no matter if or how it's smoked. Scrapple is usually cheaper. Try frying up some of that.
