I tried jumping infront of a car to stop him from speeding. It's called stationary speed enforcement, and it's a tactic to stop speeders. It was nearby the pentagon and I got hit by the car. I knew I should have just blasted the car with my firearm instead because I put myself in a dangerous situation where my life was at stake. Right now I'm in the hospital. Hopefully we can put the speeding bastard who's car I stepped in front of away for 15-20 years. That'll teach him. I am so sorry you are having to spend Christmas in the hospital. I would not try to just step in front of a car to keep him from speeding. Why didn't you just give him a ticket? Well at least you are well enough to type on your computer. I hope you get out soon. I did read the story in the Post.

The injurd police officer probably is guilty of illegal firearms violations and Geneva Convention violations.

Obviously the real cop isn't sitting in an Arlington Hospital posting about this shit. However, this is the second time in a year that a cop was hit by a car at/near the Pentagon. The first cop was killed. Seems to me the procedure for stopping a car shouldn't involve a cop stepping in front of it.

By the way, if the cop had shot the driver and killed him/her, Gravis and company would be on here screaming about how the cop wasn't justified in defending herself.

that is correct. do you think the cop should have shoot at and try to kill the driver? if i jump in front of a car, hold my hand up, signaling them to stop and then i shot and killed them, would i be deemed within my rights to kill them? please think, type, think, revise then finally post if it is appropriately relevant.

I agree, the officer that was hit did not write this. This is someone trying to start some shit. And the first officer hit at the pentagon wasn't doing speed enforcement He was working an access both and it is common practice for them to step out of the booth to talk to people if they don't show the right ID on your car. He had no way of knowing that this person was a wanted felon being chashed by the police.

And if people paid attention they would see the officers stepping out to stop them. The driver was most likely on the Cell Phone with his head up his ass.

For the record I am not impersonating a police officer, I was just trying to bring up the situation in a more personal way. It's unfortunate what happened though, and best regards to the officer, family and friends.

And I am ambivalent. I mean, I think it is awful when people are hit by vehicles and suffer. There can be no dispute that I would feel the greatest sympathy for a person in that situation.

The problem is that cops aren't people, so I don't know how to feel here. Should I feel bad for this cop like I feel bad for a cat that gets hit by a car?

I still wonder why they are training officers to step in front of moving vehicles like this. I guess one day training policies will catch up with the reality that sometimes they don't stop, and that an officer's loss of life isn't worth catching the perp for whatever crime was committed. I guess in more innocent days I would have thought stepping in front of a car to stop a criminal was a brave act, but the IHOP murder and subsequent internal handling changed all that for me.
