Major Airlines and customer service

Why can't you ever speak to an American when you call customer service for any major airline? All calls get rerouted to the Philippines or some other dumb ass country. I can;t understand these dumb donkeys.

If we hire Americans to answer phones, we have to pay them ten times as much. That's a cost we would just pass on to you. Are you willing to pay an extra $40 per ticket for the privilege?

It isn't just airlines, and it isn't just customer service. One of our vendors outsourced his A/R work. When we tried to get an itemized invoice from them so we could issue payment to them the person on the other end was unintelligible. We still don't have that invoice and we are still sitting on their money.

Don't you love it when they get extremely ticked off when you say "It's hard to understand you" or " can you repeat that" as if they believe they have no fucking accent.
