A message from FAIRFAX COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS

All Fairfax County public schools and offices will open on time Monday, March 5, 2018. The list of 16 schools below remain without power, an update on their status will be provided at 10 p.m. tonight, and those that remain without power will be closed tomorrow. Parents with concerns for their students always have the option to keep their student home for an excused absence if they believe conditions are unsafe for their child. Bus delays are possible in the morning and may be tracked online. Thank you for your ongoing patience during the disruption caused by this significant wind storm.

UPDATE: Fairfax County public schools and offices will open on time Monday, March 5, 2018. However, the seven schools listed below remain without power and will be closed tomorrow. Parents with concerns for their students always have the option to keep their student home for an excused absence if they believe conditions are unsafe for their child.

The following activities in these seven schools only are canceled on Monday March 5:

School age child care (SACC) centers closed
extracurricular activities
interscholastic contests
team practices
field trips
middle school after-school programs
professional learning and training courses
adult and community education classes
recreation programs and community use by outside groups not affiliated with FCPS
