Why is there a Braddock Rd and a New Braddock Rd?

Why not all just Braddock?

Because Braddock Rd is very very old. It was named for Gen Braddock as that is the route he took when he left with George Washington for Pennsylvania.

New Braddock Rd is not old, but new.

When they developed the Centreridge area they extended Braddock across Rt 28 and named it New Braddock to avoid confusion with the continuation of Braddock Road just north of I66.
