I just saw the HC position at Marshall is open. What happened to the Masten? Any ideas who's in line for the job?

Buckwalter wants the job, or he has the job?

What happened to the old guy? Didn't they just have one of their best season in quite a while?

Hey "Slick2345 if I only had a brain"

You apparently don't do your objective research on stats and drink a lot of cool aid.

The studies are not objective or don't point out the mass majority of players who never have symptoms or problems and live long healthy happy lives.

Take your son out of basket ball. It's TOO dangerous!

A Johns Hopkins study has shown the sports with the highest concussion rate among HS athletes are:

1. Skateboarding
2. Girls soccer
3. Hockey
4. Boys Soccer
5. Football

Why is football the one that is in the center of all of the discussion? First off is money. You can't sue sports that do not generate large amounts of income.(don't forget the guy who wrote Concussion is a paid expert witness in the concussion suit against the NFL, and the science he uses to reach his conclusions has been severely criticized by even his own mentor at the Univ of Pitt).

Second, you have a lot of people in America who don't understand the value of football, particularly for you boys/men and the lessons it teaches. And rather than admit they are weak pansies for not letting their sons play, they reach for something that will make them feel better.

Now, who the hell is going to be the next coach at Marshall?

it's repetitve hits to the head that are the biggest problem, NOT concussions. you will never be able to change that in football. dying sport.

It should be Mel Morgan a longtime coach at LB. In the upheaval he went to WTW and ran the D. BUT....his skin is brown.

Speaking of LB, any chance Poythress makes a comeback, now that his case against the district is over?

A good percentage of them were brain damaged before ever putting on a helmet
