Topic: NoVES Multicultural Open Mic at Fairfax VA

When: Wednesday, January 17, 2018 7:00 PM, EST
Where: 11925 Bowman Towne Dr, Reston, VA 20190

The event will provide a space for us to share our creative talents and express ourselves through various types of audible expression, including music and spoken-word poetry.

NoVES members are planning to perform musical numbers using their voices, as well as instruments including guitars, keyboards, harmonicas, and hand drums. Instruments and a microphone will be available for anyone to use on a walk-up basis. Musical pieces will be interleaved with international poetry readings in Spanish, French, and Malay/Indonesian, followed by their English translations.

I am really interested in the ethnic part of this whole thing. And I also love your use of quotes. Please post more about this. Please post a terribly made brochure with a picture of that owl and the guy in the wheelchair and the one with Albert Einstein.

Here is a recent music video I created just as a sample on a topic most of the citizens in my assessement have either forgotten or simply do not know as we have had many immigrants here, particularly in Fairfax County, who have never heard of the American Civil War (1862-1865).
