One Person Dies in Double Stabbing in Alexandria
Fairfax County police were called to a domestic disturbance at an apartment on the 6400 Block of Edsall Road, Monday morning around 8:00 a.m. and discovered two people had been stabbed.


Police found the first victim, an adult woman, dead on the scene.


Meanwhile, another female victim was conscious and transported to an area hospital for care. It is not yet clear if the wounds are self inflicted. There is no word yet on her condition.

It was NOT another old lady. Apparently is was a roommate v roommate situation. Press release had more details, bad guy is still in the wind.

Actually, lady stabbed her 20 (some) year old niece and stabbed herself. Niece died at the house before police got there. Aunt was still alive.

someone check the visitor logs to see if gravis stopped by....

UPDATE – DEATH

On Tuesday, January 9 Martha Majors was found unresponsive in her cell around 2:35 p.m. She was transported to Inova Fairfax Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Fairfax County Police are investigating the death at this time. An autopsy will be performed in an effort to establish cause of death. Preliminarily no foul play is suspected.


UPDATE – Murder Suspect Arrested

Martha Majors, 56, of 6416 Edsall Road T-2, was arrested on Monday, January 8 around 2 p.m. after she was released from Inova Fairfax Hospital. She had been recovering from self-inflicted injuries sustained on the date of the homicide. Major was charged with murder and taken to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

The victim of this homicide has been identified as Laquetta S. Sanders, 22, of 6416 Edsall Road.


Woman Stabbed to Death in her Home

A 22-year-old Alexandria-area woman was stabbed to death in her home today allegedly by an aunt. The stabbing occurred around 8 a.m. Monday, December 11 in the 6416 block of Edsall Road. The victim was pronounced dead of multiple stab wounds. The aunt was medevaced to Inova Fairfax Hospital with life-threatening injuries. She was in critical condition on Monday afternoon. Charges are pending against her. The investigation will confirm whether or not her injuries are self-inflicted. A young man and two children were in the home at the time of the stabbing. No one else was injured. Identification of both parties is being withheld until next of kin has been notified.
