Wanted to bring the kids out for a diner experience. Where to go? Silver Diner is bullshit and expensive for a diner.

Bob and Edith's in Springfield is good.

Juke box diner in Annandale is not too bad.

Silver diner sucks. This whole area sucks for mom and pop breakfast places. We like main st. Bagel deli but it's order at the counter style. Dominion deli is ok too.

That are worthy in NOVA, but there are some places that are decent

#1 The 29 Diner in Fairfax City, a real old time diner since 1947, new owner new food items on menu

#2 The Virginian in Vienna, a strip center resturauant with diner food that's been there

# 3 Harold and Cathys in Dumfries just off I95 on Rt 1

And they are all as expensive as Silver Diner and much better food and service

All chain diners suck 29 is not bad, at least its a real diner and not a chain

I have ate at Metro in Arl. and the rest here high in price but it was OK, yes just OK who cant cook bacon and eggs

Used to be ok but terrible now. I ordered a french dip sandwich and there was one slice of thin meat some cheese all on a soggy roll. I counted 6 french fries. Will never go back

I used to eat at the Arlington location on Columbia Pike for years in the 1980's and 1990's but they have three locations now so that makes it a chain. The same thing that happened to Five Guys will happen to Bob & Ediths: they will be all over the country and the food will suck.

Smith & Clarkson's Deli moved to the center with the Burke Walmart.

Their breakfast platters are killer.

Glad to hear it will check them out

They're on the east side where the 7 Eleven is, close to where the Burger King used to be.

I miss that Burger King. The downside to BK was that the quality is not consistent across all their locations. That location owned by the Indian people had the consistently best BK food I have ever had. I used to eat there at least five or six times a year. I've been to a BK only once since that location closed.
