Some cops are great, some cops only give a shit about paycheck and pension, some cops use the law for their own law breaking behavior.

Someone could hope that Southern California burns to the ground. If the conditions present themselves and it happens, without this individual having any involvement in starting, facilitating, exacerbating said fires he has nothing to worry about.

I don't think that was the point here. The point looks like a good reason to obey the law and civil authorities. Sure everyone has to answer to God at some point. Some will make it and some will follow the wide path which leads to destruction.

The point is .. Police aren't just people in uniforms. When they're doing their job (correctly) they are maintaining order, order which God has ordained.
God is a God of order, not disorder.

Well Yes there a few bad apples here and there, but most cops want to do their job well and there is a reason they are allowed to use force, if necessary .. to keep order, peace and also don't forget for their own protection and the protection of those they are arresting (in a round about way.)
