Recently, we told you about Virginia Congressman Scott Taylor (VA-2) and his letter demanding amnesty for a million or more illegal aliens covered by Obama’s unconstitutional Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

It turns out our article about Taylor’s letter demanding amnesty for the DACA recipients was only half the story.

Scott TaylorAccording to our friends at BigLeaguePolitics.com Taylor flipped-out and phoned the offices of the anti-illegal immigration nonprofit group NumbersUSA and threatened to “blow up” the group’s offices for criticizing his position on amnesty.

A source close to NumbersUSA told Big League Politics that Rep. Scott Taylor (VA-2) called NumbersUSA’s office last Friday “screaming profanities at them” after the group disseminated the letter he and other GOP squishes sent to Speaker Paul Ryan demanding amnesty for the DACA illegal aliens. The source claimed that NumbersUSA did “nothing else” to agitate Taylor, merely sent around the letter.

Last Wednesday, Rep. Taylor called again “asking for their physical address and threatened to blow up their offices,” according to the source. Multiple sources close to NumbersUSA confirmed to BigLeaguePolitics.com the statement on the phone call.

Evidence of the feud between Taylor and NumbersUSA may be found on Taylor’s Facebook page, where he posted about the group last Wednesday, the day of the first alleged phone call to the group’s offices.

“This bottom feeding Washington group, NumbersUSA, is being completely disingenuous with this BS Ad. This is a group that raises money off people’s fears. Never have I written or stated support for Obama’s amnesty. This group told me they believe kids/young adults in the program should be deported back to countries they do not know and were not raised in. They were told my position,” Taylor wrote on his Facebook page, showing an image of a NumbersUSA ad slamming Taylor.

Let’s take a look at Taylor’s letter and decide who is being “disingenuous.”

Taylor wrote:

Since DACA's inception, the federal government has approved approximately 795,000 initial DACA applications and 924,000 renewals. Since being approved for DACA status, an overwhelming majority of these individuals have enrolled in school, found employment, or have served in the military. Studies have shown that passing legislation to permanently protect these individuals would add hundreds of billions to our country's gross domestic product (GDP). That is why the business community, universities, and civic leaders alike support a permanent legislative solution.

The unconstitutional DACA program was created by President Barack Obama – not Congress – so it is res ipsa loquitur “Obama’s program,” and Taylor wants those currently given deferred immigration action by Obama’s program given permanent legal status (and possibly citizenship) before the end of the year.

So how does that not add up to him supporting Obama’s DACA program?

We’ve known and worked with NumbersUSA for years. They have millions of members and produce solid research on immigration – both legal and illegal – bottom feeding they are not.

And their position is backed-up by solid third-party independent research and other honest conservative Republican legislators – not RINOs like Scott Taylor.

As Bruce C. Perryman, Ph.D., explained in an article for FOX News, an alarming number of American workers without college degrees are struggling to find work. In the first quarter of 2017, nearly four in ten native-born 18 to 29-year-olds without college degrees were either unemployed or not in the labor force.

Illegal immigration exacerbates these young Americans' struggles by increasing the number of people competing for a limited supply of lower-skilled and entry-level jobs. Over the past 20 years, illegal aliens without high school degrees have inflated the low-skill U.S. workforce by approximately 22 percent observed Dr. Perryman.

The excess of low-skilled workers means companies don't need to raise wages to fill positions. Native-born workers without a high school degree would earn nearly $800 more annually if there were no illegal immigration – that’s almost three weeks pay for a minimum wage worker.

The burdens of illegal immigration disproportionately fall on American minorities says Perryman. Harvard Kennedy School economics professor George Borjas' explains that "Because a disproportionate percentage of immigrants have few skills, it is low-skilled American workers, including many blacks and Hispanics, who have suffered most from this wage dip."

Put simply, our most economically vulnerable citizens have the most to lose if DACA recipients are allowed to become legal workers and citizens.

What’s more, as principled limited government constitutional conservative Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) explained to the Washington Examiner, DACA is "going to create an entire new category of persons who are eligible for chain migration."

"The very first people that would be eligible," Cotton observed, "are the parents of the DACA recipients, which is to say the very people who broke the law by bringing their kids here."

"If we don't change underlying laws about chain migration, which account for almost two-thirds of all green cards this country gives out every year, then this could be the largest amnesty in the history of the United States," Senator Cotton cautioned.

It is pretty clear to us that Rep. Scott Taylor is a classic RINO, telling his conservative constituents one thing during the campaign and then voting the liberal line once he got to Washington, and getting caught by NumbersUSA caused him to totally flip-out.

We urge every CHQ reader to call two Congressmen – their own Representative and Virginia Congressman Scott Taylor (VA-2).

The Toll-Free Capitol Switchboard is 1-866-220-0044. Tell Congressman Scott Taylor and your Congressman you oppose amnesty for any class of illegal alien and that you will oppose any Member of Congress who votes for an amnesty bill.
