What's everyone's worst lyft/uber story as a rider or driver...

Seeing uber on my tax bill even though i never took a ride.

Obama "superfunded" uber just before leaving office.

No one told you?

actaully there are TWO bad things here:

#1 why didn't they just get a loan like everyone else is expected to? why did they get special presidential treatment?

#2 the agreement was for gov to pay whenever uber used driverless technology (or other high tech) in transport of gov employees

#highlyabused

Checking my email the next day and seeing a $90 ride from Fairfax to Alexandria thanks to surcharge pricing.

(so no, it was not just permission for gov to pay for service they used)

in the old days employees got n cents/mile and could decide whether to fly or drive themselves

today: airlines would not exist if it weren't for gov workers continually flying un-necessary flights

Why is this thread talking about taxes instead of actual topic?

the drivers know where they're going & they don't have surge pricing. It doesn't cost $90 to go from FFX to Alex in a cab.

Rather ride in a n UBER than jail a smelly cab driven by a Muslim!
The $$$$ you spend in a cab gets sent home to Pakistan to buy bullets to kill US servicemen!
Spend ur $$$$ on someone trying to earn extra money that spends it locally.
Muslim cab drivers have skipped picking up blacks, and lie that their CC MACHINE doesn’t work....

The muzzies are getting smart. I guess they were at the Thursday whitey meeting telling them to be racist toward the niggers? Or perhaps they became this way as a result of EXPERIENCING ACTUAL NIGGER BEHAVIOR OVER AND OVER AND OVER. I'll let you figure it out.

There’s a reason SE wash dc and suitland are ALWAYS IN DEMAND....ghetto passengers!
I call it gettin “stuck in a BLACK HOLE”
The algorithm wants to keep u there.
U get moms w babies in no car seat, young hood motherfuckers you can’t tell if they are male or female.
DRAMA...
really rude and make multiple stops.
The ones I take to work reek of high potency marijuana.
This not what MLK Jr envisioned for his peer savages....

If you get a Lyft pax going over there, turn on "going home" button. When you drop, log out, then log back in but don't go online until you get out of SE or PG.

If it's Uber, just slide the page over, move the button to the left and the message will show up at the bottom that says "going offline after completing trip". Slide the page back, finish your trip and rating. Then the app will ask you if you're sure you want to go offline. select go offline. When you get out of PG or SE, go back online.

Don't accept lines or pools so you don't get stuck over there, either. Just don't accept them. they pay worse than regular, and regular pays bad enough. You do all the work and Uber and Lyft get all the money.

it's fair to say that "the taxi municipal code" is from New York, is designed to oppress and tax, and that Uber is not responsible to do so except where there are "taxi laws". the laws in a city choke and even kill people in time. slowly the add more and more government advantages until a citizen can certainly die from the choking laws, in a place like new york city.

one example is the "taxi system", which at first only registered these as a business for tax collection and identification (reasonable and not costly at first). today they want an olypic medial in solid gold every year you drive a taxi, as "payment", merely for "saying they won't point a gun at your head using police if you don't".

THIS IS AMERICA

(why did california choose a german name for the company? stupidity? farfegnugen?)

It's FURTHERMORE fair to say this is the United States of America and if you want to hire a person to drive you somewhere PLEASE DO. Any interference from government in such a thing would be ILLEGAL, excepting the collection of 0.05% tax on the deal.

However, that doesn't mean i'm a fan for investing in the startup company. I'm not.

the original taxi laws, in New York City, were probably A FRAUD UPON THE PUBLIC

the "fees" were likely never actually paid by Taxi company

it was VERY LIKELY case, (infact startups accused this conspiracy theory at the time), that if any COMPETING COMPANY who wished to compete with Taxi company would pay outrageous fees - TO PREVENT ANY COMPETITION

modernly, that "old agreement" is likely forgotten

if your thinking about laws such as taxi code: thinking twice is never sufficient

I did 2 trips from suitland to god-knows-where in upper marlboro(croom) and beltsville one morning! How can these animals pay $23+ each way to be at work at a shitty McDonald’s or Popeyes!???
Not even managers either!
EVERY time I accept a request, these riders IMMEDITAELY CALL ME to make sure I won’t cancel!!! Lol
Even legit blacks are ruined by thug niggers of their own kind!
There needs to be a uber just for niggers....
Oh wait- there is one.....
Called “metro access” for nigger retards !
PURRRFECT!
