VDOT is adding tolls on 66

VDOT is not necessarily being greedy. what they are doing is allowing vehicles with a single driver to use the road during HOV Only times. Part of the deal was Arlington never wanted the noise and pollution associated with Route 66 inside the Beltway, so they only allowed 2 lanes each way to be built back in the 80's.
So the tolls are a compromise to allow others to use the road during HOV hours and not piss off Arlington or HOV users. Additionally this should keep the road from becoming overwhelmed during Rush Hour times.

AND could you imagine the idea of HOV Lanes added along Braddock Road from 495 to Guinea Road?
If that happens, they will eventually follow suit and make them "hot" or "toll" lanes as well>

However, there are a shit ton of morons that live in yuppie shit holes like ashburn village and beyond!
They will gladly pay the new tolls, no matter how much they cost!
South Riding dwellers will do the same!
I feel really bad for the saps that live in run down Aldie!
Thank you for paying the initial high cost of these lanes so I can drive out there on the weekends to fuck your wives!
