However, Peter Johnston -- Boston Properties' executive vice president for the Washington D.C. region -- told Patch that things have "settled down," and that he thinks the response to the decision to roll back paid parking hours has been "exceedingly positive."
"I would say there's not going to be changes in the near-term," he said. "My guess is we'll evaluate as we get closer to the arrival of the Metro. Once they begin charging and the service is up and running, as we get closer to that, we might reevaluate what hours to charge for. I don't see anything happening before then."
The Reston Town Center Metro station is expected to open in late 2019 or sometime in 2020.

Went to the town center this week....advertising free parking all over the place. I parked on the street, not in a garage, and came back to find a ticket on my car. No money, but a warning for not starting a parking session. How about, fuck you. I live 6 minutes from RTC, and 7 minutes from 2 other perfectly good movie theaters who want my business and don't make me play stupid games and pay to park.

Had to pickup a package at the FedEx there a few weeks ago. Had no other choice. Parked on the street and saw the RTC version of FCPD already eyeing my truck even though I was gone less than 10 minutes!
Fuck that place! And, the businesses still there! Refuse to do business with any company still in RTC unless unavoidable. When I go someplace that has a branch in RTC, I tell them why I went to their store and not RTC. Would love to see RTC become the ghost town it deserves to be with empty storefronts and the jobs going elsewhere.
