Sherwood and Pohick apparently have 3d printers, but there doesn't seem to be much detail online as to the costs to use them, or how you access them.

Anyone have experience with them?

I have never actually used the printers at any FCPL, but I can safely guess that to access them you will need to enter the library during the posted hours of operation, and pay the posted fees to use the duplication equipment.

I'm sure they'll let you do that. After all, porn sites are not blocked on the library computers. Enjoy!

I don’t know details about the 3d printer. But I think it’s better to have your own printer at home. You don’t depend on anyone, you can print as much as you want and when you want. I don’t need a 3d printer cause I have a inkjet one. I bought last year the hp cf217a printer. I needed it for work, as I am a student I print a lot. A friend of mine helped me to choose and buy the printer and all I need for it on https://www.mrdepot.ca. It may be useful for you. I am not going to library to print anymore.

I've saw the 3D printer at work at the Pohick Library a couple of years ago, it takes about 2 hours to print a plastic trinket the size of a cracker jack prize.

Owning a printer is always better than using a printing company.

I am using Monoprice Voxel 3D printer, it is having an excellent print quality and a fast print, even if there are some lackluster software problems and wifi problems it is very good.

The 3D printer uses electricity to operate. Of course you must go during stated business hours to request permission to use said 3D printer. If you are given permission to operate said 3D printer it must never be used for nefarious purposes including, but not limited to, copyright infringment, child porn, tax evasion and/or any terrorist related activity. All stated costs, surcharges and fees, if applicable, are your responsibilty as are any time or voulme of materials printed limits.

It's been a while since I used the Sherwood 3d printer and I already don't remember how much it was, but it was pretty hard to use it. I needed it to print my impression 3D paris and as much as I remember I had to pay all the duplication equipment. Now I found a much easier and quicker way to 3d print all my projects and I plan on getting my own 3d printer because I need it often and it would be much cheaper also to have it home. There should be a phone number where you could find out this information, so try this option.

Thanks. I couldn't find the phone though. I also used to use this 3d printer, but now I already moved a little bit further, so it's not so convenient

3D printers are made by whites who are descendants of people who exploited slaves.
Why, I wouldn't be surprised if they are racist whites who own stuff.

Please boycott them.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Ahah, dude, it seems to me that you are in the past because there is a huge variety of 3D printers on the Internet and you can even find great models for Amazon or ebay. In addition, now it has become so common that you can even open a business and make excellent profits on it. The only problem is that for this you need to carefully study the 3d printing materials market and only then you can draw some conclusions ... It is very easy because there are such articles and there is a lot of useful information ...
