Dear LBSS Parents and Guardians,

As FCPS continues to investigate the incident that occurred this week involving a student and one of our instructors, I am requesting that you please ask your children to refrain from engaging in personal attacks about this incident on social media platforms. Bullying and cyberbullying are violations of the FCPS Student Rights and Responsibilities regulation and the rules of conduct apply to students off school property and outside school hours if the conduct is detrimental to the school or affects school discipline. We understand the impact that this incident is having on our school community, and it is important for you to know that the LBSS administrative team is very proud of how our students and staff have responded to a very difficult challenge.

Together, we will work to maintain a safe and non-threatening learning environment for all students. We will continue to have discussions with students about appropriate uses of technology and supervise technology usage in school. However, we need your assistance as much of this activity takes place outside the school day when students are not under our supervision.

The safety of our students remains our highest priority and I encourage you to discuss with your students the importance of a safe school environment. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the school office.

Follow this, just think a minute: what if this girl met with this teacher and came forward to share a message of forgiveness and understanding for the world. The teacher has apologized and she has been raked over the coals on social media. What if the two of them were featured on the cover of Time Magazine, her explaining how teachers cannot touch students and him explaining about the hijab and it's meaning. Both can share the dangers of social media together. Damn the media in this. She's an ignorant child posting misinformation! They should know better than to run with that tweet!

What an amazing show of love and family forgiveness that would be! Can someone get to her? Or him? Game changer! Or he wins in court for liable and slander, little girl.
