Mason District registered voters only
Posted by: Fairfaxnews ()
Date: November 16, 2017 03:06PM

THURSDAY:  Choose a location and come sign the petition to remove Fairfax School Board Member Sandy Evans

What:
J.E.B. Stuart High School community members and students seek to remove Mason District School Board Member Sandy Evans as their representative. Volunteers are collecting signatures for the removal petition sponsored by Citizens for Government Integrity, LLC. The petition charges, among other things, that Sandy Evans failed to represent the community and violated the renaming regulation she initiated (R. 8170.7) in her pursuit to rename the high school “Justice.” Evans’ personal quest to fulfill her political agenda to rename the school lacked transparency and is an abuse of process, abuse of power and abuse of office.

When:
Thursday, Nov. 16   3:30-6:00 p.m.  Mason District registered voters only.

Where:  4 locations
1.  J.E.B. Stuart High School
2. Parklawn Elementary on Braddock Rd.
3. Belvedere Elementary on Columbia Pike
4. George Mason Library on Little River Turnpike

Citizens for Government Integrity LLC, a Virginia Corporation, is a NON-PARTISAN group of concerned parents and residents who live in Mason District in Fairfax County and are disturbed about the lack of good governance, irresponsible spending, safety and education of our children in the Fairfax County Public Schools, and the costs to the Fairfax County taxpayers. www.recallsandyevans.org

Who exactly is behind this group? It's funny they complain about process but are themselves totally lacking in transparency.

It's also sad that their goal seems to be to trigger another special School Board election that would cost the county at least $200,000, especially when anyone who looked at how Mason District voted in the special at-large School Board election this summer (triggered by Republicans) and in the recent election for Governor knows that Mason voters would just re-elect Evans or elect another Democrat.

If you want to watch a true snowflake in action, check out the video of the October 26th School Board meeting and watch the old white JEB Stuart alumnus start sobbing about the name change. What a bunch of sore losers.

I think one guy even shed a tear before the board. Doesn't even have kids in the school.

This is a poorly written petition, that the judge will shred after he reads. It is a laughable. The petition is a good little bedtime story. How the scary Sandy Evans took away Jebby Stuart.

When is some Republican with balls run against her instead of wasting gullible people's money with bogus petitions.

Years from now millions more will be spent to change the name yet another time ...
Libs always invented new reasons to waste money. As long as their spending what wasn't theirs to begin with, they feel superior.

Try to keep the people informed of the recall progress so that fundraising can begin to pay for the legal fees. While the recall is limited to Mason District residents, there are plenty of Fairfax County residents willing to contribute to the cause due to the wasteful spending and arrogance of the School Board under Sandy Evan's leadership.

One guy tonight at school board whined that they were kicked off school grounds. This group was trespassing on school grounds without permission. Walking door to door during the kids pickup harassing parents. Lots of parents thought it was creepy. They should have been kicked to the ground and arrested like that reporter in Annandale recently.

They said they got like 80 signatures. I guess it is like everything - just a few vocal people doing all the work. Don't waste your money.

Based upon a statement that 80 percent of the signatures that are required for the recall the RecallSandyEvans.org organization has obtained 1200 signatures and need 300 more to get the certification from the Fairfax District Court. They obviously have a lot of momentum and could close out this portion of the recall with one final push. Go to the website to keep updated on their progress. The website is www.RecallSandyEvans.org.

Gross was also on SNL back in the days after the first cast left, when it sucked. She didn't do anything memorable or last very long.

Go to the website and read Pat Hynes letter to Moon.(It's under SB strategy.)
She talks about the Dems on the Board needing to defend their values and how the NAACP is one of their most important constituencies--and, basically, they need to keep the NAACP happy. This is in an email.

Sounds to me like our "non-Partisan" school board is quite partisan.

Much as I would like to see the orientation and culture of the School Board changed, you are wasting your time.

It isn't enough that you remove Sandy Evans from office, although even that is a long shot. She must also be replaced by someone who will do a better job. And right now you've got nobody. Clearly you have failed to learn any of the lessons from the recent Special Election defeat. You need to go into the election with a candidate who has name recognition. Your candidate has to run on an agenda which can appeal to moderates and disaffected liberals as well as conservatives.

And, you also need to campaign. In the last election, most people did not even know that there was a race. That is, except, of course from the Dems. They spent lots of money on the campaign. GOP was not heard from.
