To paraphrase what's in the URL....

The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and Fairfax County Department of Transportation (FCDOT) are seeking feedback from the community to help prioritize unfunded transportation projects in the county: https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/fcdot/tpp2017.htm

They can be implemented with existing revenue sources through Fiscal Year 2023, and with additional funding that may become available in the future.

Here is the list of current unfunded projects: https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/fcdot/pdf/tpp_2017/project_list_final.pdf

And this is the current list of funded projects: https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/fcdot/cdot/projects/approved.htm

I travel all over NOVA. I have to say that the widening of Telegraph Rd should be number 1. It's most likely one of the last major north south route that is still a single lane in each direction. The traffic is so bad in the evenings that there is a cop directing traffic at one intersection. if at all possible avoid this road after 1:30 PM. First the high school starts letting kids out, then the elementary school lets out. That followed by the Ft. Belvior traffic leaving, puts this traffic at a stand still sometimes until 7PM. Most days it takes 20 minutes to go from Jeff Todd Way to Vandorn St. Maybe 3 miles.

Ha! They are asking for advice? They've already screwed up the roads everywhere. You know it's bad at any given time of the day your google maps says +30mins on your route. The construction around here is a tumor that is never going away

Streetcar service on Columbia Pike is still listed?!? I thought rational heads had prevailed and they had killed that plan.

If they were rational, then they would have had a replacement project named by now.

I would also like to eventually see the New Guinea Road extension to Ox Road and all of the proposed trails (East-West, Pohick Stream, and all the ones underneath the powerlines) be built.

There is no rational replacement project for the Columbia Pike Streetcar. It is a stupid idea that deserved to die, not something that should be altered into a more acceptable form. People who were pushing for streetcar service on Columbia Pike were not looking for a way to move people faster or less expensively along the Columbia Pike corridor. They were looking for a way to increase property values and development potential along Columbia Pike. Streetcars would not be faster than auto or bus traffic. Construction of streetcar lines within the Columbia Pike right of way would increase congestion and travel time for cars without providing a transportation option that was quicker or had more capacity than existing bus traffic.

I am not against well planned streetcar/light rail systems. The Columbia Pike Streetcar isn't a system though. It is a single stand alone line that is going to cost taxpayers dearly to construct and even more dearly to operate, and will work for the benefit of a relatively few.

This survey is a waste of keystrokes because the developers call the shots around here.

Pohick Road needs 2 lanes + bike lane or path going both directions with separate turn lanes from Route 1 to I95 overpass.

Express lanes on Braddock Road from the Fairfax County Parkway to the Beltway would solve a lot of problems.

push more $$$$ towards autonomous cars.
seems like the second some Road is paved/widened/expanded, there’s gridlock again.
Some smart uber passenger I had said that autonomous(not self-driving you morons)cars will be 1-2” from the car in front of you. You will be inches away from t-boning another car at intersections too!
If you amortize the cost of repairs/the corrupt “fort Meyer paving” companies/contractors, and the hundreds of millions involved, just give a taxpayer $30k off a Tesla.
Northbound ramp from 95 in Springfield, towards the Wilson Bridge is a death nightmare in icy conditions.
And coming the other way FROM Wilson Bridge and the second you pass the two left lanes towards 95 south, you better hope it didn’t rain hard 2 hrs before you drive there!!! No fun to hydroplane at 70mph!
