'Justice' for the Gambler

Anybody see the metro section of the Post today? The murderer got 3 weeks suspended from the force and reassigned off swat team for killing the unarmed gambler. And the police union still bitched. Unfuckinbelievable. Guy should have gotten 3-5 for sure. The guy was unarmed, so how could someone with "special weapons and TACTICS" training not beable to arrest and unarmed suspect. The gun should have never come out. Voluntary Manslaughter for sure.

Shit happens in a dangerous profession. It was an accident. I don't think the cop deserves to do time for that, I'm sure he feels horrible about it and no doubt the family will get millions from the county.

Gambling isnt what it is portrayed on tv. They dont break legs and arms if you dont pay. One guy who used to book sports bets told me they wont do that, they only cut off the guys credit. Since most are addicted they will find a way to pay off the debt to get back into the game.

Since the federal law was recently passed to block internet gambling you will see alot more of locals picking up the action on sports booking and thus more incidents like the one described above.

At least they did the minimum that I wanted, which is reassignment from that duty. If someone can't refrain from shooting in tense situations, which is what the SWAT is supposed to handle, then that person should be a SWAT member. I think at a MINIMUM Aaron Brown's killer should be removed from all citizen-facing duties but we'll see what happens there.

I agree. If a cop is involved in a shooting that is questionable he\she should be removed from a position that allows him to repeat the mistake.

FFX County doesn't need trigger happy cops, but if somebody points a gun at cops I have no problem with the cops firing immediately.

I just read the article. That is the RECOMMENDED punishment for Officer Rambo. It ain't even a done deal!

The police union is pressing for an oral or written reprimand only. They maintain that that is the normal punishment for accidental shootings.

I dont know how the police union can ask for only an oral reprimand for someone losing their life. I think the best position to take is to get the ugly mess behind them and be thankful he wasnt charged with involutary manslaughter. If it is true that an oral reprimand is the usual punishment for something like this then that is indeed scary.

I dont have any idea but is it typical county police policy to use a swat team to arrest all persons wanted on felony warrants? If so they must be very busy.
Does anyone know if the victim had a history of violence? I wouldnt think so or we would have heard of it long before now.

Lastly I think it is good to remember the victim was never convicted and presumed innocent. He didnt get his day in court.

Do not get crazy from games. I know it is not easy to play casino and understand that you will never earn a living on that. If you want to play casino games, pick the right website first. Here are several recommendations from Canadian casinos from Microggaming. Read reviews and chose the one you like.
