Worst experience at the department of motor vehicles?

I think my personal hell would be a never ending day at the depart. Of motor vehicles

It's called the DMV.

DMV is not the region that we live in, as the turds on the evening news would try to have you believe.

They only say it so that newcomers to the area think it's hip to say, but actually makes them look like bigger morons than they already are.

I always get stuck waiting because some entitled douche wants to argue at the window about something. The DMV workers don't take any shit, especially from whiners! If you don't have your paperwork in order you're outta luck!

Also, why do they translate for the beaners? If you're in this country trying to get a driver's license you need to speaka da English!

Oh, and one more good point! If you know that you're going to be going to the DMV take a fucking shower! You know that it's going to take awhile, so be considerate to others and clean your funky ass!

I do not understand why they will let a 12 year old translate to the DMV.

If you want a shorter wait, go in the DMV 15 minutes before they close. As it gets closer to closing time, all the government drones open their stations and they start to work for real. Evidently they have to finish with all their "customers" before they can leave for the day.

the one in Franconia's awful. huge lines all the time and people acting like dicks. was in there last year and they screwed up the numbering system so that multiple people were all getting called up to the same window at the same time, the whole thing turned into a big shouting match and then some crazy guy jumped on my back and put me in a chokehold. i was pretty pissed after that whole ordeal.

Try a DMV location away from the Northern Virginia. Orange, Culpeper, and Madison Counties have nice employees, and very few screaming hispanic babies.

& screaming 'groid babies, too. That's 1 real annoying thing about Motor Vehicles in Vee-AYYYYYY

There's something real funny, though. Find out what days & times they do ASAP or whatever they send drunk drivers too. You can stand in the lobby or sit there & just watch, it's funny. You see this guy or this girl, often in a business suit or ensemble shuffle up to the counter and ask in a low voice where they're supposed to go. The clerk pretends not to hear and asks them to repeat themselves in a louder voice. So you hear them barely, they're asking about drunk school. So the clerk yells out "OH, YOU'RE A DRUNK DRIVER!!!!!!! GO OVER THERE (and the clerk points) WITH THE OTHER DRUNK DRIVERS!!!!"

You see them all hiding their faces behind sheets of paper, or whatever. Some of them will actually have a newspaper, about the only time they read one, anymore. So you see all these people in one corner of the place hiding their faces. Suddenly, this door opens up clear on the other side of the joint opens up & this typical Gov't employee, a middle aged women 40 lbs overweight with milk bottle glasses and her hair done even if it is full of gray and yells real loud "ALL YOU DRUNK DRIVERS LINE UP OVER HERE! RIGHT HERE, QUICKLY ALL DRUNK DRIVERS RIGHT HERE!!!!"

So they all shuffle over there, hiding their faces which are so red it glows thru whatever they're trying to hide behind. Once they all line up, the clerk yells "DRUNK DRIVERS ANSWER WHEN I CALL YOUR NAME. IF I CAN'T HEAR YOU, I'LL ASSUME YOU'RE ABSENT!!! DRUNK DRIVERS ANSWER UP WHEN I CALL YOUR NAME!!!!" So she calls out the names. Some of them answer loud, but even then, the employee tells them to take the paper awayy from their face and speak up. Some try to answer in a low voice, so she calls their name again and says the person must not be there, so the drunk driver takes the paper away from their face and answers loud.

Then the employee yells again: "ALL YOU DRUNK DRIVERS IN HERE, FOLLOW ME IN THIS DOOR!"

It's real funny. They should do this for pedophiles, too. when they show up for court ordered sessions. So everybody can see who the pedophiles are.

DMV is the worst. One time I actually waited for almost 30 minutes before being served. Another time the person at the counter worked with me for 20 minutes to get a title change to go through. On another I went to the drive through, and can you believe there were two cars in front of me! I won't tell you which branches these were, because I wouldn't wish such horrible service on anyone.

The key to the places that do not provide a good client experience is to manage your expectations and minimize the time that you spend there. Arrive early when they open and bring a lot of things to do while you are there. It is a good time to catch up on reading from work. A cup of coffee eases the pain as well. I was there recently and got drivers license renewed within 40 minutes and there was no crowd at all.

Go to a DMV outside of the DMV

Don't bring coffee, soft drinks, snack foods, or anything other than bottled water.

It is a violation of the law to consume food products and related items within the confines of the DMV office.

You will be told to discard items in the trash or leave the DMV office. Failure to abide by the law will result in a summons being issued.

that's probably the best suggestion if you don't mind driving but keep in mind you need to go to one that's in Virginia. i made that mistake years ago out at the one near Charles Town. i tried renewing my tags but the clerk who was working there just had a dumbfounded look on his face the whole time and told me it could not be done, i had to go elsewhere. he was very stern about it too. luckily there was one not too far away near purcellville that could help me.

I work in the Pentagon and the DMV office in the Pentagon is the best since only Pentagon badge holders can get in an use it. I'm in and out within 15 minutes.

My worst experience at the DMV? It's a tie between everytime I go and...everytime I go.

And can someone please explain why all of the street signs are in English but the written driving test is offered in 12 languages?

Moved back to the area 12 years ago. Have not been to the DMV since. Have sold and purchased numerous vehicles, renewed my license and have never had to go to the DMV.

I was sitting in the parking lot of the DMV and three black guys pulled me out of the car and drug me in the woods then two of them fucked me in the ass. That was a bad experience.
