The idea that Principle Mukai didn't know about this is BS. He's going to blame this on FCPS investigators, but I know for a FACT that is not true. It's all because of his mismanagement. Something...a lot of things don't add up here. The report above said the mold was caused by A/C units being left on all summer.

1) It was a huge waste of energy to leave those A/C units running all summer...

2) Mold grows in damp places. If the AC units were running all summer, the air in the trailers would be dry and thus not conducive to growing mold...

In and of itself, AC does not remove (much) moisture from the air and cold air = condensation in and around ducts. The drains are for collection of condensation on the coils only, not throughout the rest of the system.

I read all the opinions in this thread and I can not agree about the air conditioners completely. Yes, they actually drain the air well, but it doesn’t save at all from mold (especially if you live in an area with old houses). An air purifier seems to me a more practical option for rooms. You can read more about practical applications on the Internet. I think that the operation of an air purifier will be cheaper and more effective from mold than air conditioning.

allot of mold can make people sick or even kill them - it was an initiative in the 1990's to inform the public that mold "wasn't as safe as some thought it was - it is infact deadly". there are many kinds: but it mutates as it grows.

US SCHOOLS DIDN'T USED TO HAVE A MOLD PROBLEM BECAUSE OF THE DESIGN and because there were no carpets - all hard pvc/laminate/tile flooring.

(any moisture from the foundation the rises to evaporate is caught in a carpet and if there is any - it will cause the carpet to mold)
