Bigfoot/Sasquatch in Virginia?
Posted by: ParaNoya ()

I watched a documentary on Bigfoot/Sasquatch a couple of nights ago and now
I'm really scared. I know these things are all around us but I just havent seen
on yet myself. If I find one, I'll shoot it on the spot as they are an
unprotected species and not covered under Virginia hunting laws. Has anybody
on this forum actually seen one of these creatures? Where is the best place
to find them in Fairfax?

You can usually find Bigfoot hanging out with the Bunnyman at the Bunnyman Bridge.

I do not recommend shooting Bigfoot if you see him. His thick hide protects him from bullets, and he'll probably rip your leg off and beat you with it if you try.

I thought about that but I have a 45-70 Marlin that should take care of him.

We need to form a militia to hunt this thing down and kill it before it kills
anybody. Would you like to join us? I have a small group of volunteers but we
need all the people we can get. We can meet at The Patriot on Wednesday nights
and even get "Kill Sasquatch" t-shirts. Since you're the only one here who has actually seen one you can be the official expert.

I have had several sitings at the Jermantown Kmart in , ususally attired in strechy type pants and shower curtain material blouses. They usually flee across Rt. 29 towards the direction of the trailer park.

I don't claim these photos are of Big Foot or whatever, but I took these in Faifax Co. during the winter of 2005. I used an automated still camera, designed for sports photography, that shoots up to 25 fps. As I recall on that day it was set to about 18 fps. I put together this animated gif from the photos.

I think the closest thing to Bigfoot in this area, were the crazy sounds people heard emanating from the Marshy area surrounding Mt. Vernon in the 1970's. The Park officials attributed the sounds to Peacocks, but people also reported having rocks tossed at them (Which is typical in not only Bigfoot sightings, but in Ape behavior in general).

To be honest, I wouldn't shoot at one though. How the hell do you know what it is, or what it feels? You shouldn't even randomly shoot animals for the pre-emptive hell of it, to the contrary, shooting is for self-defense and/or hunting. Unless you're going to eat a Bigfoot and possibly make yourself a borderline Cannibal, then put the gun away for now.

Also, does anyone remember the report coming out of Anne Arundel, Maryland about six or eight years ago? A LEO actually saw a weird thing out at the construction sight of that mall, and when he shined his spotlight on it, it stood up on the hill, and slowly walked on two feet down into the woods. He even put it into his official report.

I wouldn't marry one either but I'm sure someone is nutty enough to do so.
Kill'em all before they take over the world.

I clearly saw a Sasquatch in Loudoun County Virginia in OCtober of 2008. It was huge, lumbering, long-limbed and wary of being watched. I was with a friend (both in our mid-teens) and we both saw it along the side of and crossing a road. The wooded area, with many small prey, deer and vegetation to eat, with nearby waterways and dense foliage, provide an excellent hiding and living area for these people.

According to recent DNA sequencing (published in mainstream journal of zoology) the Sasquatch are non-ape hominid hybrids who developed at least 15,000 years ago. their DNA is NOT of maternal Neanderthal nor Denovisan ancestry. So the question is not IF they exist, nor WHAt they are: they are real, humanoids with intelligence, language, tool-using and fire-using skills, seeking to remain apart from the mainstream human population as they are cognizant of their fate should that interaction occur. Their distrust of the general population further indicates their intelligence.

Habituators state that these AbORIGINAL PEOPLE (at least those in North America) are aware thet they are being hunted and because of their relative sparse population, fear for their survival. DNA comparisons are being worked on with samples from similar beings from many other parts of the earth.

I see Sasquatches all the time, but for some reason my wife keeps telling me they're called "arabs".

Our homeowners have a do not feed policy towards wildlife, including but not limited to cryptids, bigfoot, yeti, mothmen, skunk apes, and so on. As long as we all do our part, they will move on.

I used to spend all of my free time 50's 60's and 70's hiking and camping in the wilderness areas throughout the Appalachians and the Cumberland Plateau regions, and have NEVER seen one of these things. I am wondering why all of a sudden they seem to have populated most of the US, when there was only a few noted to be living in the wilderness regions of the Pacific Northwest? I have hiked there also but we never saw or heard anything out of the ordinary. Can a population take over the wilderness areas of the whole country in relatively few years without being introduced and planted in the various areas to populate?

Sasquatches love beef jerky, so if you have some go ahead and offer them a piece and they will love you. If you try to tease them, then they will get pissed off and that would't end well for ya.

Along with Native Americans, the Sasquatch population was also hugely reduced by the introduction of small pox. Their population has rebounded and they live in close proximity to humans.
