Fox News host Melissa Francis broke out in tears on Wednesday defending President Donald Trump’s comments doubling down on blaming “both sides” for violence at the weekend rally of white supremacists in Charlottesville, Virginia.
“I am so uncomfortable having this conversation,” Francis told co-hosts on Fox News’ “Outnumbered” as she fought back tears.

No sane white person will talk about race, because if they discuss the facts, such as black fatherless rates, incarceration rates, abortion rates etc. - they will be called a racist.
If they say the counter-protesters (who openly displayed weapons including clubs and some sort of pepper spray) were also to blame for the violence - they will (and have been) called racists.
There will never be an honest race discussion in this country between whites and blacks because no one wants to be branded a racist.

It truly is a fools errand to discuss race with anyone other than a close confidante. If you do not accept the POLITICAL views or philosophy of the left or the Democrat party you will be instantly branded as a racist no matter what your personal beliefs and practice.
I don't enjoy being called a racist all the time so I have just stopped talking about it. Been called a racist for over 30 years. I guess I really don't care but it is tiresome.
Bottom line is that I believe all people of all races, ethnicity, ages, sex and gender should be treated with respect and dignity and all should be treated equally and fairly. And that is how I have lived my life. No matter - I am still deemed to be a violent and evil racist -ist, -ist, -ist, -ist, -ist, -ist.

I happened to see that show. Melissa Francis is a Harvard grad and a very smart woman. I think she is mostly on Fox Business. (She was also a child actress on Little House on the Prairie.)
I thought the crying was odd--but I think that perhaps there had been a discussion between Melissa and Juan before they went on air.
She is usually pretty level.
What she said is true. It cannot be discussed without anyone who brings up the violence from Antifa being called a racist. That is unfortunate.
It is also frightening, because very few people on the right support the KKK, but lots on the left are ignorant as to what Antifa is doing. "Anti-facists ? Oh, they must be good people." They are not. They want to shut down free speech and anyone with whom they disagree--not just racists. They are quite violent.

I totally understand where she is coming from. This subject is SO toxic any more no one can express their feeling on this. Media and the left are all to blame. This is a booger that stuck on the wall God help us....it's going to be on the wall for a long time to come. When will it stop?
