Is there any store in Fairfax County that still has eclipse glasses for sale?

I heard some Lowes stores had them. I also know Fairfax County parks is hosting a bunch of events, that might be an easy place to pick them up.

For the record, there are no glasses that allow you to view an eclipse and not 100% fully avoid irreversible damage to your eyes. This is a matter of physics. Anyone telling you differently, is trying to sell you something.

Do not stare at the fucking sun...ever.

Only faggots stare at the sun. When I stare at the sun, I feel happy.

Bullshit.

I'll take NASA over "Huh???" every time.

https://eclipse2017.nasa.gov/safety
"The only safe way to look directly at the uneclipsed or partially eclipsed sun is through special-purpose solar filters, such as “eclipse glasses” (example shown at left) or hand-held solar viewers. Homemade filters or ordinary sunglasses, even very dark ones, are not safe for looking at the sun; they transmit thousands of times too much sunlight. Refer to the American Astronomical Society (AAS) Reputable Vendors of Solar Filters & Viewers (link is external) page for a list of manufacturers and authorized dealers of eclipse glasses and handheld solar viewers verified to be compliant with the ISO 12312-2 international safety standard for such products."

Stop into any welding supply company and pick up a basic welding helmet that is used during Arc Welding.

Performing Arc welding without that protective device will burnout the Retinas in your eyes, and looking at an eclipse will damage the retinas a well.

Indeed. Jesus told me that himself, last Tuesday after he finished fertilizing my lawn and just before trimming my begonias.

Only faggots think they've talked to Jesus. Contrary to popular belief...man created God actually.

It's fake news that you need special glasses to look at the eclipse. I encourage all Americans to give the media the middle finger and look directly at the sun without eclipse glasses, which are a Jewish conspiracy to sell you more crap you don't need.

Udvar Hazy has been handing out 400 a day. People were lining up at 9:00am for the 10:00am opening. Glasses were gone in 3 minutes. Do these people not have jobs?

I ordered some from Amazon over a month ago. I finally got them 2 or 3 days ago. Five pairs cost me about $30. Today I got an email from Amazon saying that they couldn't verify if the glasses were safe or not, so they were refunding my money. They told me not to bother with sending them back. That sucks. I really wanted to see the eclipse, but I'm not taking the chance.

If your glasses were made in China, discard them. Very common for Chinese manufacturers to fake the certifications.

The longevity of the solar panel is crucial. Most solar panels can withstand winds of up to 129 mph, which is the maximum speed for a Category 3 storm (or severe hurricane). Glass used in solar panels is completely heat-tempered, so it can resist blizzard conditions without breaking.

The panels from Silfab Solar have been tested extensively with a wide range of commercially available fastening hardware, racking solutions, and mounting zone configurations, both in-house and by independent testing labs.
