everyone says there's so much to do around here... what am I missing?

So I'm lazy and don't want to fish through the 5 years worth of posts on here to find my answer. Maybe someone can direct me to an old thread if it exists.

Here's my problem. I'm sick and tired of watching TV and/or playing Xbox night after night. I'm young(ish) with no kids (minorly important: I don't mind kids but am not looking to go to Chuck E. Cheese, either). I'm looking for some new form of entertainment, preferably in this area, but have the following rules:

1. While drinking was fun in my younger days, time and some rerouting of internal organs tell me I just can't handle it anymore.

2. I don't want to go somewhere and sit, and I can look Yahoo! Movies up all by myself if that's the route I wanted to go.

3. Interactive things are fun.

So basically, I'm looking for ideas of stuff to just DO... ideas that could be thought of in the afternoon and implemented that night. (no long term planning)

I like bowling and it's a little cold for something like putt-putt, but those are kind of in the neighborhood I'm aiming at.

And no, RayJay, I'm not looking for glory holes, but perhaps in the process of me asking, you might find what you're looking for. You're welcome.

I totally forgot about this, always meant to go but never got around to it -- is there something special about tomorrow?

Submarine races in the Potomac. They happen nightly around 9pm from Memorial bridge to the Airport. These are top secret races so they do not put up any markings or announce winners. Park in the Airport park overlook. Best enjoyed with a hot chic from the back seat of your car.

Well if you want some fun then I suggest you visit some of the gloryholes I have found in and around the fairfax area. I will provide you a list of the hotspot locations I personally have found and an additional list of those members here at this site who have so graciously provided me with. In exchange for these listings I expect that if you yourself come across, or hear about any good gloryholes in the future, that you will immediately foward this information to me. Thanks so much for your interest in having "fun" and enjoy gloryholes moderation and please remember to drive responsibly.

Go to the 60 Minutes thing. I have had my seats for about aa week now!

They usually let you go to the bar afterward and drink super cheap drinks as long as you tip.

I know of no glory holes at the press club though.

Go to a Washington Capitals game at the Verizon Center. If you've never been to an NHL game, you're missing out. It's tons of fun, so at least try it once. You can get tickets pretty cheap on Craigslist.

Go to the 7-11 in Arlington at the corner of Columbia Pike and Columbus St.
It's near the bridge at Four Mile Run so you can grab a case of beer and
run like Hell before the clerks catch you. Then you're good to go to
hang with the amigos in the woods who are building fires and sleeping outside
because their wives won't let them in the house. That's entertainment!
