Washington Post Picks Republican Danny Smith over Democrat Kaye Kory in the 38th

"District 38: Danny R. Smith, the Republican candidate, is a bright, independent-minded civic leader who cares about promoting affordable housing. A Realtor and corporate executive, he would bring a refreshingly bipartisan sensibility to Richmond. He's a better choice than his opponent, L. Kaye Kory, a sincere but lackluster Fairfax school board member who beat incumbent Robert Hull in a Democratic primary."

I've listened to Smith's ideas, but never thought a Republican could win in that district. I tend to lean Democratic, but have been impressed with the vitality of Smith's campaign. Anyone else have thoughts on this race?

I would never vote for Danny Smith. The special teams suck this year.

Why would anyone reward this school board? What has Kaye Kory ever done for a child in FCPS? Nothing. Same thing she'll do for you in Richmond. Nothing. Time to throw the bums out! Do NOT reward anyone on the school board.
