Police Inventory search damaged my car

So i was pulled over last night and they towed my car for improper registration i understand the inventory seach. but when i got my car back today the rear dash was destroyed my center console was pulled apart and shifter bezel is cracked..... what can i do about this? the inventory search is just to keep track of whats in the car and shouldn't have casued damage to the inside of my car.

You can't don anything, they will just tell you that they had a hit with a K9 or something. Filing complaints w/the PD is useless.

you should file a report to the chief of police, mayors office, congressman, Governor. Somebody should make the county pay you for the damage done by these officers. Let's assume you deserved to have your vehicle searched. That does not in turn mean you deserve to have your property destroyed. I think they do it because most people do not complain. Sue the county if you must. Call the news. don't give up
