Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Modernizing Government Travel Act''.
SEC. 2. FEDERAL EMPLOYEE REIMBURSEMENT FOR USE OF MODERN TRAVEL
SERVICES.
(a) In General.--Not later than 90 days after the date of enactment
of this Act, the Administrator of General Services shall prescribe
regulations under section 5707 of title 5, United States Code, to
provide for the reimbursement for the use of a transportation network
company or innovative mobility technology company by any Federal
employee traveling on official business under subchapter I of chapter
57 of such title, except that the Director of the Administrative Office
of the United States Courts shall prescribe such regulations with
respect to employees of the judicial branch of the Government.
(b) Definitions.--In this section:
(1) Innovative mobility technology company.--The term
``innovative mobility technology company'' means an organization,
including a corporation, limited liability company, partnership,
sole proprietorship, or any other entity, that applies technology
to expand and enhance available transportation choices, better
manages demand for transportation services, or provides
alternatives to driving alone.

-------------------------

the above allows UBER to recoup costs for "technology required to offer their product" but not your local taxi company

HEY YOU FUCKS I REQUIRES A LARGE INFRASTRUCTURE TO BE GUARANTEED PAID FOR AHEAD OF TIME TOO

FUCKERS

fun fact #1:

Uber's "research" into driverless cars is much borrowed from California Taxpayer run Berkeley research of the same - which there are History Channel episodes of Berkeley professors demonstrating on the highway.

The above would of course be "double funding" that ALREADY APPROPRIATED AND PAID FOR research.

Which, flatly, happens continually.

-------------
fun fact #2:

60 Minutes long ago busted USA colleges for literal espionage: they were using college money (roughly all of which was Grant money from USA) to do research for FOREIGN TECH FIRMS and transmit the results to (malaysia)

they are still doing it though i've omitted my examples (which can be found on the internet and are no secret - huge theft is no secret)

what do you get if you try to get free chinese or japanese code for their countries products: shut out with a password dumb ass.

just one more way obama took a bad situation and made it far worse than it had been to make life easier for "his democrats"

(we all know that gov run schools are communist institutes, and that communists flock to usa to get into power (of hiring and money and grading) in these communist schools. spreading communism in USA started at our colleges specifically.)

uber says they aren't lying to customers about Uber vehicles being on the map that aren't really available ... it's not to fool you it's a SECRET PLAN the government's at fault

(example: you need a (sic) cab and uber says there are some nearby so you order it, you wait and wait and complain but it does you no good because they've fooled your ass into waiting and you'll never get them in court because your local court is a bunch of corrupt city democrats)

here's how their company explains it.

--------------------

Uber has a secret, worldwide program called “Greyball” to hide from government employees looking to catch Uber cars operating in violation of local regulations, reports The New York Times.

The Greyball program, which was reportedly approved by Uber’s legal team, remains in use today and is part of a global operation to stop people from, in Uber’s eyes, using its service improperly. That operation is called “violation of terms of service” or VTOS, which addresses everything from competitors looking to disrupt Uber’s operations to law enforcement looking to catch violators of government taxi regulations.

According to the Times, when Uber began operations in a new city where operations weren’t clearly legal, the company would appoint a manager in charge of the Greyball program. That manager could draw a geofence around the offices of regulators, watching for users who might open and close the app frequently — actions that could signify that the user was a city employee tasked with keeping an eye on Uber.

The company would also check user’s credit card information to see if the card was tied to a police credit union, according to the report. Because enforcement officials would buy numerous phones to create multiple Uber accounts for sting operations, Uber would check what cheap cell phones were available in local stores (because city officials did not have sizable budgets) and compare those devices to user accounts.

When a user was “Greyballed,” the Times says, Uber could show a set of fake cars on the app’s map — or no cars at all.

Uber Loses at Least $1.2 Billion in First Half of 2016

... this might be a pisser if it were GE that holds trillions just in patents

but UBER is a company started on a loan that's never made a profit

aren't they all? or no, none should be ?

EITHER WAY: how can anyone loose $1.2 Billion by offering taxi by the iPhone ? Taxi are profitable and for profit and make money so how are the "losses justified". and i don't mean justified by congress they'll just about say anythign these days.
